Umbrella Network Launches Oracle Services On MultiversX

Umbrella is an oracle platform built on top of a Layer 2 Merkle Tree architecture. This design choice allows them to provide cost-effective, more authentic, and cryptographically verifiable data feeds.

Developers leveraging the MultiversX network for decentralized applications can now retrieve price data for their smart contracts from Umbrella. The first price feeds made available by the oracle provider are EGLD/USD and USDT/USD, with USDC, BUSD, ETH and BTC to be added shortly.

Thanks to its innovative approach for batching transactions instead of submitting each of them individually to the blockchain, Umbrella services are not restricted to just the commonly traded pairs and offer comprehensive datasets, including real world data and events that can be used on demand by ecosystem products for various use cases, from prediction markets to synthetic derivative protocols and more.

Calling all $EGLD Stakers: Voting for the governance call on Sirius (1.6) release begins tomorrow at 18:30 UTC!

After a 9-week discussion window on Agora and the extensive feedback received from the validators who got involved in the testing phase, we are ready to move forward with the Sirius mainnet release governance proposal.

Every user with staked EGLD is eligible to participate and vote for the proposal that will bring tens of new important features and additions to the MultiversX protocol, some of which have been in the works for over 1 year.

Although the voting happens on-chain, the full governance system implementation is not yet in place. Sirius will enable it and will open the process to anyone willing to submit proposals, as well as enforce a deposit fee, set a higher quorum, and allow liquid staking users to participate.

Quick rundown of the proposal:

🔹 Up to vote: DNS v2, VM 1.5, Multikey, and many other improvements packed in a single release
🔹 Duration: 23 November - 3 December
🔹 Eligibility: EGLD staked

From now on, the community will vote for each new substantial change occurring to the protocol, as part of our long-term progressive decentralization efforts.
