Traditional festivals and celebrations are vital occasions for showcasing a country’s cultural heritage. However, these culturally significant occasions are gradually declining in some countries. Among many problems it causes, the primary ones are associated with weakened social bonds and loss of cultural identity. As for solutions, the governing bodies should organize more public spaces like parks and halls to hold festivals with free or low-cost access and schools and community centers should include traditional practices in their activities and curriculum.

One main problem associated with the disappearance of traditional festivals is the weakening of social bonds. Since most festivals bring people together in one place, it provides opportunities for interaction, idea sharing, or the formation of friendships in this place. If it were not for these festivals and gatherings, there would be fewer opportunities for people to build relationships with their peers. For example, Halloween - an American festival - serves as a prime example. In this festival people wear scary clothes and gather in one place to celebrate it. Therefore, the existence of such festivals is crucial for fostering social connection and unity.

In addition to the weakening of social bonds, the loss of cultural identity is another major issue. As most cultural festivals offer a wealth of knowledge about a country’s traditions and heritage, they often attract many tourists who are eager to gain insights. When these festivals disappear, future generations or tourists may no longer understand and experience cultural practices. Not only does this result in a lack of knowledge about the country’s history, but it can also take a toll on the country's economy by reducing the number of visitors.

These problems can be addressed through a number of measures. One effective solution is for the government to use public spaces such as parks and halls to organize festivals with low-cost or free access in order to encourage attendance. When many people take part in such festivals, they not only interact, share ideas, and build friendships, but they can also learn more about their country’s traditions and cultural heritage, preventing the disappearance of such festivals. Spring Festival - a traditional Chinese celebration - can be a good case in point. This festival often brings families together, strengthens social ties, and fosters cultural exchange. Had it not been for this festival, many people might have suffered from loneliness and social isolation.

Another important, yet less noticeable, measure is the inclusion of traditional practices in school curricula and community center activities. Integrating traditional festivals into education settings can provide people with a deeper understanding of such festivals. The more they watch such festivals, the faster they understand cultural traditions and heritage, preventing the decline of festivals.

In conclusion, the disappearance of cultural traditions can lead to the weakening of social bonds and the loss of cultural identity. However, these problems can effectively be addressed by organizing festivals and including traditional festivals at schools and community centers.
