One of the main reasons why many people cannot manage their time is that they often aim to earn as much money as possible by spending most of their time at work. Despite working in a workplace, some people tend to look for two or three part-time jobs so as to live a standard of living. Another reason is related to a lack of strict plans for daily life. For example, a number of jobs are currently requiring a lot of mental and physical strength, which makes people feel exhausted and frustrated when they come back home from their job. Thus, they may not have enough time to spend with their family and friends.

Perhaps the most effective way to address work-life balance is to supervise free time. Specifically, people should usually have spare time apart from their main job to spend with family members or relatives. They do not have to work one more place so that they live a standard of living. The next solution would be being self-employed at home as opposed to following a rigid nine-to-five schedule in the workplace. This format of working lets people work during any parts of the day, which gives them a chance to work when they feel most productive. Being self-employed can also help to improve work-life balance, allowing them to spend more time with their family and friends or engage in their favorite pastimes.

In conclusion, spending most time in the workplace could be the main cause of less achievable work-life balance, and having leisure time with the exception of the main job or self-employment can be the best solution for people who have the aim to achieve a balance between work and other parts of their lives.
