📖 Reading Passage for Comprehension

"The Scrutinizing Teacher"

Mrs. Collins was known as one of the strictest teachers in school.
Whenever students submitted their essays, she would scrutinize every sentence carefully.
She looked for grammar errors, weak arguments, and unclear ideas.
At first, her students found it frustrating — they thought she was too demanding.
But later, they realized that her scrutiny helped them become better writers.
By the end of the semester, even the weakest students had improved remarkably.
They learned that success often comes from paying close attention to details — just as Mrs. Collins did.

📖 Reading Passage for Comprehension

"The Disparaging Comment"

During a group discussion, everyone was sharing their ideas confidently.
But when Mina suggested a creative solution, one of her classmates quickly disparaged it, saying it was “too childish.”
The room went silent. Mina felt embarrassed and stopped talking for the rest of the lesson.
After class, the teacher gently explained to the group that disparaging others’ ideas can harm teamwork and creativity.
She reminded them that every idea deserves respect — even if it’s not perfect.
The next day, the same classmate apologized, realizing that his negative words had discouraged Mina. From then on, the group agreed to listen before judging.
