Updates from the Taklimay Penyelaras Muet.
1. Candidates should always get updates about MUET from FACEBOOK MPM or the MPM website because they will not message you individually.
2. The MUET calendar is subject to change, candidates should also be alert with that.
3. Tempoh sah laku MUET : 5 years from date of result ( not date of exam)
4. If you are absent for only ONE paper, you will not get your result.
5. Updated fee : RM100 locals
bukan warganegara : RM350
6. only 3 ways for you to get refund for MUET ( payment) : fill in birang MUET C4 from MPM website , 1) due to death
2) due to sickness
3) due to further studies.
Only these 3 reasons can be used for refund.
7. Always bring a 2B pencil with you for the exam. ( students always forget)
8. If you plan on changing your exam place : make sure u decide a month before the exam or earlier. You will need to pay RM25 and make the payment online. Wait for JPN to approve then semak your SLip dafter MUET/D again.
9. If you need to change info ( name, ic ) charges RM25 ringgit
RM 40 if after sijil is printed.
10. If you are a calon PBK ( kurang upaya) please submit a form to JPN ( borang C5 if blind C6 for others and accidents) you will need to submit proof.
11. If you have a suddent accident,
Fill in the MUET C6 document and inform MPM or JPN
12. If your muet sijil hilang, u have to isi borang MPM/S3 from the website. U need to pay RM40.
That is all as of now.

DISCUSSION OF MOD JULY 2022
“Tranditional jobs in still relevant in modern society” express your opinion.
1. THIS IS A DISCURSIVE ESSAY. (must share unbiased opinion on the issue, talk about both positive and negative view but DO NOT INCLUDE A STAND)
2. Think of a way to introduce the topic. For example use a question to start: what is a traditional job? Is it needed in today’s society?
3. Think of points. BRAINSTORM POINTS
POSITIVE POINTS : 1) we still need human labour ( farming, paddy field, rubber tapper, fisherman)
2) midwife ( still relevant until today, still needed and modernised
Negative points : 1) takes up too much time and can use machinery to help facilitate the job. (factory workers)
2) some jobs are irrelevant today ( typist, blacksmith)
4. Conclude with a recommendation. Talk about how u can modernised certain jobs and how it’s good for the younger generation to be exposed to the different job scope.

It has come to my attention that there are many versions of defining the MUET CEFR-Aligned DISCURSIVE ESSAY. On the internet, there are SO MANY definitions!
However, based on MPM expectations, the definition stated in many places about DISCURSIVE ESSAY having to keep neutral is NOT ACCURATE.
In reality, according to current MPM expectations, please understand that you are supposed to GIVE YOUR OPINION.
Kindly refer to updated reference books like MUET-Test Focused, ACE MUET which give more accurate examples for DISCURIVE ESSAYs.
