THEY WERE SPOKEN BY ANN BRUMBAUGH, ATTORNEY FOR THE FULTON COUNTY BOARD OF REGISTRATION AND ELECTIONS, ON THE OFFICIAL RECORD. SHE CONFIRMED THAT REQUIRED TABULATION TAPES FROM EARLY VOTING IN 2020 WERE NOT SIGNED, CALLING IT A VIOLATION OF THE RULE, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE SUBJECT BY SAYING THE COUNTY HAS “NEW LEADERSHIP,” “NEW TRAINING,” AND “NEW PROCEDURES” TODAY. CROSS ALSO STATED THAT THROUGH A FORMAL OPEN RECORDS REQUEST — AT A COST OF $15,800 — HE OBTAINED 77 MEGABYTES OF OFFICIAL ELECTION RECORDS FROM FULTON COUNTY, INCLUDING 134 TABULATOR TAPES REPRESENTING APPROXIMATELY 315,000 VOTES. ACCORDING TO CROSS, EVERY SINGLE SIGNATURE BLOCK ON THOSE TAPES WAS BLANK. NOT SOME. NOT A FEW. ALL OF THEM.
ADDITIONAL IRREGULARITIES WERE ALSO CITED, INCLUDING POLLING LOCATIONS LOGGED AS BEING OPEN AT IMPOSSIBLE HOURS, SUCH AS 2:09 A.M., AND INSTANCES OF DUPLICATED SCANNER SERIAL NUMBERS, WHERE MEMORY DEVICES APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM ONE MACHINE AND PRINTED ON ANOTHER. AGAIN, THESE CLAIMS WERE NOT DISMISSED. THE GEORGIA SECRETARY OF STATE’S OFFICE LATER INVESTIGATED AND SUBSTANTIATED THAT 36 OUT OF 37 ADVANCED VOTING PRECINCTS IN FULTON COUNTY FAILED TO SIGN TABULATION TAPES AS REQUIRED BY STATUTE, AND THAT 32 LOCATIONS FAILED TO VERIFY ZERO TAPES. THIS IS NOT ABOUT WHO WON OR WHO LOST. THIS IS ABOUT WHETHER THE SYSTEM FOLLOWED ITS OWN RULES.
