On June 19 we will be joining Ikasi Soccer School for Girls in Kayelitsha for what promises to be an action packed day of community cleanup, sanitary pad and food distribution for those who participate, music and a bit of football fun!
Also joining us on the day will be GBV groups SA Woman Fight & #LangaForMen to speak to and educate the community on GBV.

Movers, please join me in congratulating Charles Barrell, who has just been voted in as Provincial Head for Gauteng!
Charles has committed himself to serving this organisation and many communities across Gauteng from the get go, and has proven himself to be not only an operational grand master, but also a team player who is willing to listen and learn while building the movement.
To date he has managed a number of large scale projects, some of the most notable being the Florence in Hillbrow along side RySky, as well as building working partnerships with Tshwane municipality not to mention various schools, groups and organisations, speaking to the core of what we stand for as an all inclusive, collaborative organisation.
Charles has now moved to our Executive Committee where he will immediately begin the planning and structuring of his teams and project management across the province.

We are now fully aware of the precarious situation our country finds itself in.
There are no doubt multiple reasons, that can be debated, for the unacceptable behavior we are witnessing.
Nevertheless, perpetuating the ongoing social media clips, only adds fuel to the fire and threatens the safety of law abiding citizens.
This is clearly the time to exercise due caution and to behave rationally.
MoveOneMillon members nationally and internationally are renowned for their ability to address wrongs and to take appropriate action, when the time is right.
We do not sit on the outside pointing fingers and taking the moral high ground.
We do not perpetuate unsubstantiated rumours and gossip from the comfort of our living rooms, yet do nothing.
We get involved in our communities and the country we love and care about.
We are action oriented and get actively involved in a peaceful and organized manner in activating our membership.
The most important issue is to ensure the safety of your family and loved ones.
In this regard we need communities to stand together as a united front to ensure a greater degree of security.

Dear Members,
It is with great sadness that I wish to inform you that we have lost one of our own.
Charles passed away last night, having succumbed to Covid.
This is a devastating loss for us all, and we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his son, life partner and other friends and family.
What Charles did for this organization, this country and our people during his time with us makes him a hero.
He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
Please, stay vigilant out there. Don’t take one second of your life for granted.
