kuchh reet jagat kee ayesee hai
har yek subah kee shaam huyee
too kaun hai, teraa naam hain kyaa
seetaa bhee yahaa badanaam huyee
fir kyo sansaar kee baaton se
bheeg gaye tere nainaa

kuchh to log kahenge, logaane kaa kaam hain kahanaa
chhodo, bekaar kee baato mein , kahee beet naa jaaye rainaa

Translation

Some customs of the world are like this,
Every morning's evening has passed.
Who are you, what is your name?
Even Sita was defamed here.
Then why have your eyes become moist
with the talks of the world?

Some people will say, it's their job to speak.
Leave it, in useless talks, lest the night passes by.

साथी ना कारवां है
ये तेरा इम्तेहां है
यूँ ही चला चल दिल के सहारे
करती है मंजिल तुमको इशारे
देख कहीं कोई रोक नहीं ले

रुक जाना नहीं
तू कहीं हार के
काँटों पे चलके
मिलेंगे साए बहार के
