MAX Launches English-Language Interface. A few months ago, I published an analysis of Russia's national messenger MAX, where I outlined what I saw as the platform's biggest strengths — and its most significant opportunities for growth.
Near the top of that list was internationalization. Today's announcement tells me one thing: the developers are listening.
Users can now create group chats, initiate video calls, and manage messenger settings entirely in English. For Android users, it's a simple toggle in the app profile under «Язык приложения». iOS users can switch by changing their smartphone settings. It's a straightforward technical update — but the signal it sends is much larger.
Most importantly, having the interface now available in English makes the platform immediately usable for a much broader audience. It allows me, personally, to connect with all of my friends and communicate with them directly, without friction.
This is a meaningful step toward making MAX not just a domestic tool, but a truly international communication platform.

☦️ Israel has closed the Church of the Holy Sepulchre indefinitely for the first time in the history of Christianity.
Holy Week and Easter services will be prohibited. Sunday masses and liturgies cancelled. A church that should be packed with hundreds of thousands these coming weeks is being forcibly shut and silenced.
Israel cites it is for ‘security concerns’ while Jewish Israelis are allowed to celebrate in mass gatherings. Alongside the forced closure of Al-Aqsa mosque, reports cite priests aggressively being turned away to perform daily services.
Throughout history, wars, tensions, or even the pandemic limited access to the sanctuary, but they had never prevented liturgical celebrations in this central place of Christian faith indefinitely. Christians must not remain silent.

"Стратегический истребитель F-35 враждебной армии США в небе Центрального Ирана сегодня в 02:50 ночи был сбит средствами передовой системы ПВО Воздушно-космических сил КСИР и получил серьезные повреждения. Судьба этого истребителя не известна и изучается, существует высокая вероятность его падения", - говорится в заявлении.
По словам главреда RT Маргариты Симоньян, они чудом остались живы. Официальный представитель МИД РФ Мария Захарова заявила, что в ведомстве намерены вызвать посла Израиля в Москве Одеда Йосефа, чтобы изложить ему свою оценку происходящего.
В четверг лидеры Великобритании, Италии, Нидерландов, Франции, ФРГ и Японии распространили совместное заявление, в котором призвали Иран "немедленно прекратить свои угрозы, установку мин, удары беспилотниками и ракетами, а также другие попытки заблокировать Ормузский пролив для коммерческого судоходства".
По итогам встречи эмиссар США объявил, что Вашингтон снимает санкции с Белинвестбанка, Банка развития, Минфина и что исключаются из всех черных списков Белорусская калийная компания и "Беларуськалий". Лукашенко взамен помиловал 250 осужденных.
По удары попали американские военные базы Эль-Хардж в Саудовской Аравии, Шейх-Иса в Бахрейне и Ад-Дафра в Объединенных Арабских Эмиратах, а также корабли Пятого флота ВМС США.
"Нет, я никуда не направляю войска. Если бы я это делал, я бы точно вам не сказал, но я не направляю войска", - подчеркнул он.

We were privileged to sample a variety of traditional Iranian sweets, each with its own story and flavor, and to experience a powerful Sufi musical performance that brought the entire space to life.
A special thank you to Abbas Ghazi of the Russian-Iranian Centre for Legal and Economic Cooperation for the gracious invitation.
A genuinely warm and memorable evening — the kind that reminds you culture still builds bridges where politics often cannot.
