✨ Our meeting on August 13 was about persistence and the people who help us keep going.
Our Toastmaster of the Day, Olga Yatsyk, invited us to explore “Power of Persistence” and shared an important thought: our strength of character is often shaped by the people closest to us persistence can begin in the family.
We enjoyed two speeches: Elena Lvovskaya’s “It Started with a Coffee Break” and Olga Antashkevich’s “The Bucket List”. Olga’s idea of visualising our dreams and turning them into reality was especially inspiring, one of her dreams is to see the fireworks in Sydney. ✨
Alexander Gerasimov received the Best Table Topics ribbon after sharing a memorable story from around 2008, when he was to New York for a job interview, only to discover that the company had been expecting someone else. A small story, but a reminder of how many unexpected turns an interesting life can take.
Our General Evaluator, Artur Baimler, noted that our club is growing in every sense in people, communication, and the connections we create.
Sometimes persistence means taking another big step. Sometimes, simply taking the next one.
