Meeting Report | “If You’re Not Online, You Do Not Exist”

Our latest meeting at Moscow Free Speakers Club explored a topic that feels increasingly relevant in today’s world: “If You’re Not Online, You Do Not Exist.”

🎤 A huge thank you to our Toastmaster of the Day, Alexandra Efremova, who came up with this thought-provoking theme and guided the meeting with confidence, energy, and enthusiasm.

💭 Olga Antashkevich, our Thought of the Day Speaker, gave us an inspiring idea to reflect on and set the perfect tone for the evening.

Polina Shkividorova, our Table Topics Master, prepared engaging, creative, and thought-provoking questions. We thoroughly enjoyed participating, sharing our opinions, and hearing different perspectives from fellow members.

🎙 Our prepared speakers delivered three memorable speeches:

Yulia Belousova presented “The Goal I Missed, The Path I Found”, sharing a personal story that inspired many of us to look at setbacks from a different perspective.

Ruslan Kalachev entertained us with “Very Special Patient”, a humorous speech that had the audience laughing throughout the evening.

Svetlana Gubareva surprised us all by delivering her second speech immediately after completing her Icebreaker at the previous meeting. What an impressive start to her Toastmasters journey!

📋 Our General Evaluator, Alexander Uzyanov, provided valuable observations and constructive feedback that will help our club continue to grow and improve.

📝 Special thanks to our Personal Evaluators - Elena Lvovskaya, Olga Yatsuk, and Olga Antashkevich. Their thoughtful evaluations help speakers recognize their strengths, identify opportunities for improvement, and become more confident communicators.

Andrey Vladykin as Timer,
📚 Artem Bocharov as Grammarian, and
🔍 Ksenia Egorova as Ah-Counter
made the meeting more effective and productive by helping us stay aware of timing, language usage, and speaking habits.

Svetlana Gubareva, our Quiz Master, prepared a fun and engaging quiz that tested how carefully we had listened to the speeches and meeting participants.

💫 Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to another warm, supportive, and inspiring evening.

That’s what Toastmasters is all about - learning, growing, and enjoying the journey together.

📚 What a night!

Yesterday at Moscow Free Speakers Club, we had everything we love about Toastmasters:

energy
laughter
real stories
surprising facts
and the feeling that every voice in the room matters.

The theme of the meeting Books: Paper or Digital?  turned out to be much deeper than just choosing between paper books and e-books.
We talked about memories, habits, convenience, personal stories, and why some books stay not only in our memory, but also in our hearts.

Polina, our Toastmaster of the Day, made the evening very interactive.
During the Fact or Fiction game, we guessed facts about books, raised our hands, and checked how much we really know about the world of books.

🎤 A very special moment of the evening was Kseniya's first Ice Breaker speech - "This Is Me".
We warmly congratulate Kseniya on this important first step and wish her a bright, inspiring, and discovery-filled journey in Toastmasters.

Anna gave the meeting a special atmosphere by reading an extract from J.R.R. Tolkien’s Letters from Father Christmas - a small but very warm moment of the evening.

💻 And one more important thing: for the first time in a long while, we had a Zoom connection again.
The meeting became hybrid, which made it more accessible for those who could not join us in person.

Thank you to all participants and to our new guests — Anna, Alex, Daria, Ekaterina, and Manu.
It was wonderful to see new faces and feel real interest in the club.

📅 Our next meeting is on July 16.

See you at MFSC!
