The island no longer stays missing. If anything takes it away — another module, or a system event that never arrives — it now notices on its own and brings it back within a few seconds, instead of staying gone until something unrelated happens to nudge it.
The unlock padlock no longer gets stuck on the home screen. With the always-on island off, unlocking by fingerprint straight from a dark screen used to leave the open padlock sitting there for good.
The island is no longer left on screen but untouchable. Tap and hold could stop working with no sign anything was wrong.
Requires HyperOS 3. Most changes only take effect after Restart System (bottom of the Island tab).
