September 11 has come and gone. Now let us remember September 12.

On this day in 1683, the forces of The Holy League, led by Jan III Sobieski of Poland, rescued the besieged city of Vienna from an Ottoman army numbering more than 300,000 strong.

The Viennese garrison had stood fast for 4 months, but at a high price. By September, the city’s defenders and its inhabitants were nearly all dead and Vienna was about to fall into the hands of the Ottoman Turks.

At dawn on September 12, salvation came in the form of 50,000 German and Austrian soldiers, and 37,000 Poles. Most famous amongst the Polish troops were the Winged Hussars, Poland’s elite heavy cavalry unit who wore wings attached to their armour. Their charge onto the field of Kahlenberg remains the largest ever cavalry charge in history.

The battle ended in a total victory for the Holy League. Vienna was saved and the Turkish incursion into Europe halted.

We remember in September when the Winged Hussars arrived!

Worth remembering too, that the Holy League was not just comprised of Catholics from Poland and the Holy Roman Empire, but also Protestants from Germany.

It was a fragile alliance, one that fell apart soon after the battle. Yet it should always serve as a lesson of what Europeans are capable of when we work together, setting aside our differences and uniting our strengths towards achieving a common victory.

Sadly, most Catholics would rather America become completely brown and Catholic than return to how it once was; a nation which firmly upheld American cultural uniqueness, expelled all alien elements, and was White with a Protestant majority.

The fact of the matter is that living in a racially and culturally homogenous country where you are not being persecuted is better than being a minority in your own land and watching your country be destroyed from within by Mexicans.

It’s clear that Robert Menzies, despite all of his shortcomings, wanted this country to remain majority white, and would surely be shocked at the state of this country today.

However, he eventually gave into Jewish pressure and slowly ripped the policy apart through various means. His government was the one that brought in the Colombo Plan, which imported Asian students en-masse to Australian universities to help Asian development. In 1958, Menzies abolished the difficult European language "dictation test", and decided that well qualified non-Europeans (mainly Asians) were suitable for entry, even if they couldn’t speak a word of English, French, German or what have you. PM Harold Holt, who was always an integral part of the Menzies government, then let the Vietnamese come in droves as a sort of repayment for the war, and effectively dismantled the policy. His government also decided to allow non-whites to become permanent residents and citizens after five years, and also removed discriminatory provisions in family reunification policies. As a result, non-European and Eastern/Southern European immigration skyrocketed.

In short, no true Australian nationalist should be praising the traitor known as Robert Menzies; he put on a mask, promising many things, and ended up doing the opposite in practice, lying to the Australian people. He did nothing to defend the policy. The only one who stood up for White Australia against continual attempts by The Coalition and The Opposition to destroy the policy was Sir Arthur Calwell, even stating in 1972:

“I am proud of my white skin, just as a Chinese is proud of his yellow skin, a Japanese of his brown skin, and the Indians of their various hues from black to coffee-coloured. Anybody who is not proud of his race is not a man at all. And any man who tries to stigmatise the Australian community as racist because they want to preserve this country for the white race is doing our nation great harm... I reject, in conscience, the idea that Australia should or ever can become a multi-racial society and survive”.

The reality is that Whitlam and Dunstan wouldn’t have been able to completely get rid of every last remaining element of the policy in the 70s without Holt, Menzies and Immigration Minister Hubert Opperman paving the way for the destruction of White Australia in the late 50s and 60s by weakening the policy.

I always see this edit being shared around as if he was some sort of grand defender of the policy. Instead of sharing around clips of this traitor, quotes should be shared of the men who put the policy together and ruthlessly defended it despite immense pressure from Westminster and Japan.

Our great literary figures and national heroes such as C.J. Dennis, Henry Lawson, Banjo Patterson, Billy Lane, Gusty Spence, Charles Pearson, and not just great politicians, should also be praised for their success regarding the popularisation of the policy, and never forgotten. Not to forget the various Newspapers and organisations that contributed to this effort such as The ANA, The Worker, The Bulletin, The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, and various different unions.

To touch on Vietnam as well; my Grandfather recently told me that the reason why him and all of his mates were fighting was not because America or Britain said so, but rather because they believed that if they did not fight, Australia would be in danger of becoming Asian and Communist.

They did not fight for subsequent governments to dismantle the policy without notice, or for tolerance and inclusion; they fought for what our founders and the men of Kokoda, Jerusalem, Gallipoli, the Somme, and the Fromelles fought for; the advancement and defence of White Australia.
