Sub-Saharan Africans, it is also the case that marriage between what were usually referred to as Ethiopians and other lighter skinned peoples in Africa was not uncommon. Also, clear descriptions of Athanasius mention his dark skin explicitly. He wasn't white.

Archbishop Cesare Orsenigo was the vatican apostolic nuncio to Germany from 1930-1945.
He was the direct diplomatic link between Pius XI/XII and Adolf Hitler and other high ranking Reich ministers.
He met regularly with Hitler throughout the war.
He visited concentration camps visiting prisoners of war.
The photos are from 1944 and 1945.
Notice the crosses the at the prisoner cemetery. A bit strange for a regime that supposedly hated Christianity.

Unfortunately there is still many National Socialists today who believe in Allied propaganda. They have at least realised the Holocaust was fake with forged documents as proof; but they still buy into other Allied propaganda that NSDAP (despite n.24/ NSDAP plan being Christian) was anti-Christian and so was it's leadership. Yet the only proof of such is poorly translated "hearsay," Table Talks published by the Allies after the fall of WW2..

Part of the umbrella organization was the Verein Deutschvolk (German Volk Society), founded 1930. Its purpose was to disseminate Mathilde Ludendorff’s science-based religious views called Gotterkenntnis (God-knowledge or - cognition). These two organizations which shared many ideas with National Socialism were, for that very reason, *prohibited in 1933* (Haack, 1981:139).
