If you knew the first thing about the Bible you’d know that this is not talking about the enemies of God, not your personal enemies and those who you strongly disagree with and have a grudge against. Also, turning the other cheek simply means to walk away and ignore him if he has already refused to listen to you. The Bible says the exact same thing in the Havamal when it comes to hating and rising up against the enemies of God. The Bible also tells us to rebuke evil and not partake in it. Hating and refusing to make truces with someone who isn’t explicitly an enemy of God and just your personal enemy is stupid and won’t bring forth any good at all. The Bible tells us to never make truces with the enemies of God.
In fact, in the Psalms, Proverbs and various other parts of the New and Old Testaments, God tells us to rise up, destroy and hate the enemies of God with a perfect hatred. The rest of this verse says nothing which contradicts these verses and simply says to pray for your enemies and those who persecute you. Never says to not rejoice when the enemies of God are destroyed either, for God Himself takes great joy in that.
18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” - Luke 10
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper: and every tongue that resisteth thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord, and their justice with me, saith the Lord.” - Isaiah 54:17
These people fail to realise these truths because they don’t hold to the view that the New and Old Testaments can’t contradict each other since God never changes. Here are some more verses btw, much more than you’ll ever find in the Hávamal:
“Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one” - Ephesians 6:11-16

Reminder that the enemies of Christ want nothing more than to bring you down and away from His love. They wish to see our lives and all of our accomplishments erased in fire and brimstone, and we will not stand idly by and watch the destruction of our people.

“A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.”
- Ecclesiastes 3:8
Remember too that this war is against Satan, and in saying that, it implies that this war will also be against the Enemies of God, those who side and work with Satan. Not our personal enemies, God’s enemies. Not our neighbour who may disagree with Christianity. The enemies of God - not your average Joe conformist or normal person that could easily be converted -, God-haters, the ones for example that are described in Genesis 19 and Judges 19 in Sodom and Gamorah. Satan’s minions. He is like a general, one who commands his workers to spread filth unto the land and defile nations. The battle against Satan is mainly spiritual, but can be physical as well. Which Ecclesiastes 3:8 points out very clearly.
We see this in the Bible in 2 Corinthians 11:13-14 where God says:
“For such boasters are false apostles, deceitful workers, disgusting themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder! Even Satan disguised himself as an angel of light. So it is not strange if his ministers also disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness. Their end will match their deeds.”
John 8:44
“You are from the father the devil, and you choose to do your father’s desires. He was a murder from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and a father of lies.”

If Pagans actually read the Bible and not just the Hávamal, I doubt they would even get it still. Because as Saint Basil says, the problem is Spiritual, and those who don’t have the Spirit dwelling within them will always reject these things, no matter how much you show them. Christ said the exact same thing in response to those who heard the news about the Resurrection and were showed evidence but still refused to believe on Him.
“They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.” - Ephesians 4:18

Let's remember a classic about Christian Warriors with In Praise of the New Knighthood by St. Bernard of Clairvaux
~To Hugh, Khight of Christ and Master of Christ's Militia: Bernard, in namy only, Abbot of Clairvaus, wishes that he might fight the Good Fight.
Go forth confidently then, you knights, and repel the foes of the cross of Christ with a stalwart heart. Know that neither death nor life can separate you from the love of God which is in Jesus Christ, and in every peril repeat, "Whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." What a glory to return in victory from such a battle! How blessed to die there as a martyr!

“The knight of Christ, I say, may strike with confidence and die yet more confidently, for he serves Christ when he strikes, and serves himself when he falls. Neither does he bear the sword in vain, for he is God's minister, for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of the good. If he kills an evildoer, he is not a mankiller, but, if I may so put it, a killer of evil. He is evidently the avenger of Christ towards evildoers and he is rightly considered a defender of Christians.
Should he be killed himself, we know that he has not perished, but has come safely into port. When he inflicts death it is to Christ's profit, and when he suffers death, it is for his own gain. The Christian glories in the death of the pagan, because Christ is glorified; while the death of the Christian gives occasion for the King to show his liberality in the rewarding of his knight.”
- Saint Bernard of Clairvaux

Hey pagans, things don’t just mean what you want them to mean. They have contexts and much more baggage than you think. Just a reminder.
If you actually read the texts and looked at what the Holy Fathers had to say about these things, maybe you wouldn’t come to such silly conclusions without having any knowledge of the texts.

These people literally think the OT God is different to the NT God. Just goes to show they have no idea what they’re talking about.
I was debating whether I should even make a response to this, since it’s been repeated over and over again. But it’s good to drill it in.
If these people want to go to the texts, we’ll go there. It never ends up well for them. As I’ve shown, and as the Saints have shown.

What Happens When Rabbis Are Forced To Defend The Talmud In Open Debate, excerpt from “The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit and its impacts on world history” by E Michael Jones
Saint Thomas Aquinas’s commentary on Matthew 5:38-48 further dispelling Pagan lies and showing how ignorant they truly are on matters pertaining to Holy Scripture:
Lmao you got destroyed on everything else so this is what you come up with as a response? I don’t even see an argument here.
What’s wrong with praying that the enemies of God and your personal enemies be saved? That doesn’t mean surrender to them and not destroy them. I proved that the Bible says for us to destroy them and rise up against them. I also proved how Matthew 5 was talking about personal enemies.
I’m very curious as to how praying that your enemies may see the light a sign of surrender and non-resistance? Can you not fight against your enemies in battle and do this at the same time? Pretty hilarious how this was all you could respond to though. I didn’t expect much more.
The posts weren’t about Hitler bro, they were about the Bible. Which you clearly have no knowledge of. If you had a decent knowledge of it you wouldn’t come to these silly conclusions.

Many of us have read the Bible, we know what it says in it. The Bible asks us to pray not only against our personal enemies, but even against the who persecute.

I didn’t feel the need to address praying for your enemies because it’s clear that it isn’t at odds with physical and spiritual resistance to evil. He didn’t even give an argument as to how it is. Lol.
