Since learning about the deception in the vatican 2 Church, I have been suspicious of the story of Maximillian Kolbe's death, that's been made into a martyrdom at the hands of the germans during world war 2....the story of his execution didn't make any sense…
Hmmm, I wonder why he was canonised as a Martyr and not just as a Great Saint.
Despite the story of his Martyrdom being a complete fable, he is still an amazing Saint and always will be.
Just wish he could’ve been canonised without the story being included. Oh well.

I love him more now that I came to this realization.
The story never made sense that the germans let him take the place of a polish soldiers.
Why would the germans listen to a priest like that if they were so evil?
