Just because they claim to worship The God of Abraham (Jesus Christ), doesn’t mean they actually worship the One True God. Jews claim this, but in John 8:44, it is clear that they worship the devil. Also, JPII does teach that they can save and are true religions in a sense. The proof? Right here, in the Catechism.

The Arians didn’t worship God either. If Arians and Muslims worship God, then God is not Triune and Jesus Christ is not the second person of it. Heretics don’t have the gift of faith, and without the gift of faith, how are you going to worship God? Without Jesus Christ, the Godhead isn’t a Godhead at all.
