So I’m seeing this guy say to Knight in the comments that we’re *bound* to accept the Syllabus but it’s not infallible 😂. What a pathetic argument. If you seriously think QC lacks the intent of being infallible, read it again.
Cardinal newman was a liberal who said that the syllabus wasn't infallible
Post trads will use Cardinal newman to support their claims
• The pontiff must teach in his public and official capacity as pastor and doctor of all Christians, not merely in his private capacity as a theologian, preacher or allocutionist, nor in his capacity as a temporal prince or as a mere ordinary of the Diocese of Rome. It must be clear that he speaks as spiritual head of the Church universal.
• Then it is only when, in this capacity, he teaches some doctrine of faith or morals that he is infallible (see below, IV).
• Further it must be sufficiently evident that he intends to teach with all the fullness and finality of his supreme Apostolic authority, in other words that he wishes to determine some point of doctrine in an absolutely final and irrevocable way, or to define it in the technical sense (see DEFINITION). These are well-recognized formulas by means of which the defining intention may be manifested.
• Finally for an ex cathedra decision it must be clear that the pope intends to bind the whole Church. To demand internal assent from all the faithful to his teaching under pain of incurring spiritual shipwreck (naufragium fidei).

Now it seems that Quanta Cura fulfills the first criterion in no 6 « ...we, well remembering our Apostolic Office, and very greatly solicitous for our most holy Religion, for sound doctrine and the salvation of souls which is intrusted to us by God, and (solicitous also) for the welfare of human society itself, have thought it right again to raise up our Apostolic voice. »
As regards criterion 2, QC seems to touch on matters that pertain to the faith.
As regards criterion 3, QC no 6: « ..by our Apostolic authority, we reprobate, proscribe, and condemn all the singular and evil opinions and doctrines severally mentioned in this letter, »
Finally QC seems to be binding for the whole Church, again no 6 directly following the last point: « ...and will and command that they be thoroughly held by all children of the Catholic Church as reprobated, proscribed and condemned. »

Therefore, it seems to me that Quanta Cura is infallible.
This is how vatican 2 defenders try to downgrade the condemnations of liberalism by the pre conciliar Popes. This is taken from the Archbishop Lefebvre's "they have uncrowned him"
The vatican 2 defenders use the "historical context" argument
Since we know that Quanta Cura is infallible now and that Vatican II directly contradicts it, the council contains heresy; and is, therefore, a heretical council that is not of the Church.

Here's the proof:

"The Council further declares that the right to religious freedom has its foundation in the very dignity of the human person... This right to religious freedom is to be recognised in the constitutional law whereby society is governed. Thus it is to become a civil right." (Declaration on Religious Liberty Dignitatis Humanae, paragraph 2)

"And from this wholly false idea of social organisation they do not fear to foster that erroneous opinion, especially fatal to the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by our predecessor, Gregory XVI, insanity, namely that the liberty of conscience and worship is the proper right of every man, and should be proclaimed by law in every correctly established society... Each and every doctrine individually mentioned in this letter, by Our Apostolic authority We reject, proscribe and condemn; and We wish and command that they be considered as absolutely rejected by all the sons of the Church." (Quanta Cura)

"15. Every man is free to embrace and profess that religion which, guided by the light of reason, he shall consider true." (Syllabus of Errors)

This heresy was also condemned by Pius X, Gregory XVI, Leo XIII, and Pius VII

"Vatican II's declaration on religious liberty was without question the most notorious of all the documents of Vatican II. This is because its teaching on religious liberty was so heretical, so contrary to the teaching of the Catholic Magisterium, that even the most liberal heretics had trouble rationalizing it." - Fr. Raymond Taouk
"“Religious freedom” or “religious liberty” has been condemned by Popes Gregory XVI, Pius IX, St. Pius X and Pius XI. You are not free to choose your religion. You are bound in conscience to become a Catholic and to join the Catholic Church in order to save your soul. If you choose not to, you go to hell. Nobody can coerce someone into thinking something they do not want to think or believing something they do not want to believe. But the laws of a Catholic state can prevent the followers of a false religion from practising in public, from trying to make converts, from trying to spread their false doctrine and false morals, etc. Look at the catastrophic numbers of millions of souls today leaving the Church to join ‘evangelical’ protestant sects in countries where before the council everyone was Catholic: South America, the Philippines, etc. These formerly Catholic countries were forced to change their constitutions so as to no longer give the Catholic religion pride of place. All this disaster as a result of just two paragraphs in one of the sixteen documents of this robber council. As noted above, just one error is enough. One heresy makes the whole document heretical, and one heretical document makes the whole council heretical." - Fr. Hesse

Segment about Christianity arriving in Ireland taken from the documentary ''Christianity - The First 1000 Years'' which you can view here.

When St Patrick and missionaries came to preach Christianity, many aspects were already compatible with Druidism making it easier to adopt and understand due to ideas in Druidism such as the significance of the number 3, the idea of a God with 3 persons, emphasis of the immortality of the soul and the emphasis on the resurrection and afterlife.

9:54 ''I think it would be safe to say that every book written before the year 1000AD, that includes all of the Greco-Roman classics, all of Holy Scripture Old & New Testament, all theological works, from the Jewish side from Josephus or from Augustine or anyone else, we would not have these books if it were not for the manuscript copying in these Irish monasteries......

and so it so the Western History and Culture are preserved intact by a few Irish monks''
