The best exchange in the entire debate: Trent: “Is there any belief you disagree with that you would say is reasonable?” Matt: “No. I think I’m a reasonable person.” Trent: “You may be a reasonable person, but someone can reasonably disagree with you correct?”…
At least this wasn’t as bad as his debate with Jay on the Existence of God. When confronted with a presuppositionalist who isn’t a philosophical dummy, instead of going the honest Humean route, he comes up with excuses.
To be fair, honest skeptics are a breath of fresh air, but people like Matt just piss me off.

The Jews, whom Holy Church tolerates in diverse parts of the world in testimony to Jesus Christ, wish to persevere in their hardness and blindness rather than acknowledge the words of the prophets and the mysteries of the Holy Scriptures, and to come to the knowledge of the Christian faith and salvation.

Hopefully Sonna is well prepared when time comes for the debate.
Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics, 110.3a
"Virtue being, as we have seen, of two kinds, intellectual and moral, intellectual virtue is for the most part both produced and increased by instruction, and therefore requires experience and time; whereas moral or ethical virtue is the product of habit, and has indeed derived its name, with a slight variation of form, from that word. And therefore it is clear that none of the moral virtues formed is engendered in us by nature, for no natural property can be altered by habit. For instance, it is the nature of a stone to move downwards, and it cannot be trained to move upwards, even though you should try to train it to do so by throwing it up into the air ten thousand times; nor can fire be trained to move downwards, nor can anything else that naturally behaves in one way be trained into a habit of behaving in another way. The virtues therefore are engendered in us neither by nature nor yet in violation of nature."

In every age the Lord calls men and women to follow Him, to put aside concern for their own lives, and, trusting fully in His grace, to give themselves generously in His service. God has called the Sword of the Spirit into being in this age as society becomes increasingly hostile towards the message of Christ and increasingly fragmented.
We have heard the call of God, a call to serve Him and His people in this time, a time of trial and challenge for the Christian people, a time when He is pouring out His Spirit to renew, restore, and unify His people. Answer His call.Forwarded from Lady of Peace 🕊 ✝️
William Shakespeare is the greatest writer, story teller and poet to ever exist.
He was Roman Catholic and born during tumultuous times for Catholics in England in the 16th Century.
His masterful storytelling is drenched in beauty, romanticism and idealism. Tales of joy, tragedy, betrayal, vengeance and redemption.
The Holy Roman Empire, true Catholicism and Jesus Christ shines through in his work 😍🥰
What an incredible gift he has been to mankind, especially for us literature spergs.

Poor Jews! You invoked a dreadful curse upon your own heads in saying: "His blood be on us and our children"; and that curse, miserable race, you carry upon you to this day, and to the End of Time you shall endure the chastisement of that innocent blood. O my Jesus! ... I will not be obstinate like the Jews. I will love Thee forever, forever, forever!

He never said “only pray to the Father” lol, what nonsense. That’s an Arian/Islamic myth. This is just all the more proof as to why you should learn trinitarian doctrine so you can answer these basic questions sufficiently. The three hypostasise are all equally the divine essence and in substance, the distinction is only between the persons of the Godhead, not essence or nature. If you can’t defend the Trinity properly without heresy slipping out of your mouth then don’t go up to these people in the first place out of your pride. Good intentions, but still.

These Muslims claim to be experts on the Trinity yet can’t even wrap their low-IQ heads around the basics.

Those who give themselves to excess in eating and drinking shall not possess the kingdom of God. Look at the saints: they pass their life in penance, Saint Elizabeth, Queen of Portugal, fasted all advent, and also from Saint John Baptist’s day to the Assumption. Soon after, she began another Lent, which lasted till the feast of Saint Michael. She lived upon bread and water only on Fridays and Saturdays, and on the vigils of the feasts of the Blessed Virgin and of the Apostles. They say that Saint Bernard drank oil for wine. Saint Isidore never ate without shedding tears! If we were good Christians, we should do as the saints have done.
O my children! let us no longer live for the pleasure of eating; let us live as the saints have done; let us mortify ourselves as they were mortified. The saints never indulged themselves in the pleasures of good cheer. Their pleasure was to feed on Jesus Christ! Let us follow their footsteps on this earth, and we shall gain the crown which they have in Heaven.

What the hell is a Divine Mercy Sunday? It seems to me that this false Norvus Ordo devotion was simply designed to replace praying the Rosary every day and being devoted to the Sacred Heart.
