That the spirit of the peoples remains ingrained in them throughout the centuries is a given of course - yet Fustel de Coulanges, who is rightly lauded a brilliant scholar, very rightly indeed comments that a return to the religion of Ancient Greece or Ancient Rome is impossible, quite precisely because of the accumulated experience of peoples! Up until the Roman Empire of Augustus, the peoples of Europe and the Mediterranean basin had had only the vestiges of primitive religion, the marks of that first revelation given to Adam and Eve. The Logos of Christ is far too powerful now to ever be fully removed from the hearts of these people, for the human spirit craves and hungers for spiritual fulfilment and nourishment (which only Christianity can truly provide a Sacrifice and Altar for).
Anything else, any attempt of a return to some pagan paradise of the past will not lead to the archaic spirit of a paradise-like era, but will indeed have two ends: a return to the barbarity and savagery of the end of the Empire; and the over-rationalisation of society, authority and religion, for they would be abandoning the great Revelation of God from 2000 years ago, and attempting quite anthropologically to create their own authority and religion - and coming from men, it will quite easily by men fall.
It’s not a viable option, and of course, it is utterly false and detrimental to the soul - for only through Christ can you even know that there is Truth and that you must fight for your family and nation, let alone save your soul.

Reminder that Michael Lofton is a pathetic coward who attacks Taylor Marshall on air and says that he’s going to become a heretic and schismatic because he said VII contains error and heresy. It doesn’t get any lower than this. Apparently saying that Nostrae Aetate contains error is heresy? What a ridiculous position. It’s not even an ecumenical council for goodness sakes. An ecumenical council CAN NOT definitively teach error and heresy, that’s impossible.
