An amazing pillar at the Cheluvanarayana Swamy Temple at Melukote, Karnataka. It features an octagonal shaped ring at the center. There are vertical joints that hold it place. No part of the ring itself touches the pillar.

Wonderful! Amazing! Exquisite!

The ceiling of a Jain temple, Gujarat.
The roof is basically a 3D extension of 3 concentric circles each adorned with lotus. At the centre of it has 5 layers of geometric pattern viz. 12 trefoil pattern, again repeated and formed by rotation of 3squares at 45°, and then lotus.
