A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.
The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'

Groupthink can move a group to beyond the roadblock to action. But the question is, is it the right action?
Most people in groups desire for harmony. Votes should be βunanimous.β Dissenting opinions should be muffled. In order to achieve this conformity, people will often put their own opinion aside and go along with an idea that they actually think is shoddy or unsatisfactory just because the majority of the group likes it. Another term fittingly used for this tendency is
βherd mentality.β
We tend to push reason and rational judgment aside when we make decisions. We unconsciously try to simplify complex information.
Forming a quick consensus without applying adequate thought, as happens with Groupthink Bias, can have detrimental ramifications...

Legendary Muhammad Ali departed this world on June 3rd, 2016, at age of 74 years, in Scottsdale, Arizona USA.
The boxing legend was interviewed and asked how he would like to be remembered, he replied,
"I would like them to say that he took a few cups of love, one teaspoon of patience, one teaspoon of generosity, one pint of kindness, took one quart of laughter, one punch of concern and then mixed willingness and happiness, he added lots of faith and stirred it up well. Then he spread it over a span of a life time and he served it to each and every deserving person he met."

The Industrial Revolution was the transformation of economies dominated by agriculture and handicrafts to economies dominated by industry and machine manufacturing.
The process began in 18th-century Britain and slowly spread to other parts of the world.
The Industrial Revolution involved technological changes, including the novel use of materials like iron and steel, the intensified use of energy sources like coal and steam, and the use of new inventions like the spinning jenny; socioeconomic changes, including the introduction of the factory system and a wider distribution of wealth; and cultural changes, including the growth of cities and development of workerβs rights movements.
But that wasnβt all: the period was also marked by the devaluation of skilled work and by unsafe working conditions, long hours, and child labor.
The creation of entirely new industries meant there were little to no standards as to how new workers should be treated, and Arnold Toynbee, the English historian and reformer who popularized the term Industrial Revolution, even called it βa period as disastrous and as terrible as any through which a nation has ever passed.β
