A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.
The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'

Groupthink can move a group to beyond the roadblock to action. But the question is, is it the right action?
Most people in groups desire for harmony. Votes should be “unanimous.” Dissenting opinions should be muffled. In order to achieve this conformity, people will often put their own opinion aside and go along with an idea that they actually think is shoddy or unsatisfactory just because the majority of the group likes it. Another term fittingly used for this tendency is
“herd mentality.”
We tend to push reason and rational judgment aside when we make decisions. We unconsciously try to simplify complex information.
Forming a quick consensus without applying adequate thought, as happens with Groupthink Bias, can have detrimental ramifications...

The boxing legend was interviewed and asked how he would like to be remembered, he replied,
"I would like them to say that he took a few cups of love, one teaspoon of patience, one teaspoon of generosity, one pint of kindness, took one quart of laughter, one punch of concern and then mixed willingness and happiness, he added lots of faith and stirred it up well. Then he spread it over a span of a life time and he served it to each and every deserving person he met."
