LIFE'S RAILWAY TO HEAVEN, Patsy cline
Life is like a mountain railroad
With an engineer that's brave
We must make the run successful
From the cradle to the grave
Watch the curves, the fills, and tunnels
Never falter, never fail
Keep your hand upon the throttle
And your eyes upon the rail
Blessed Savior, Thou will guide us
Till we reach that blissful shore
Where the angels wait to join us…

MAKE ME STRONG, Sami Yusuf
I know I’m waiting
Waiting for something
Something to happen to me
But this waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Nothing in life is free
I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day I’ll be ok
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
Help me find my way
My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong
Sometimes it just gets too much
I feel that I’ve lost touch
I know the road is long
Make me strong
I know I’m waiting
Yearning for something
Something known only to me
This waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Life is one mystery
I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day you’ll forgive me
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
I beg for your mercy
My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE PROTECTIVE VALUE OF FACE MASKS AND HOW EASY IT IS TO CATCH COVID-19
CLAIM: ‘IT IS NO MORE DANGEROUS THAN WINTER FLU’
Many individuals who get coronavirus will experience nothing worse than seasonal flu symptoms, but the overall profile of the disease, including its mortality rate, looks more serious. At the start of an outbreak the apparent mortality rate can be an overestimate if a lot of mild cases are being missed. But this week, a WHO expert suggested that this has not been the case with Covid-19. Bruce Aylward, who led an international mission to China to learn about the virus and the country’s response, said the evidence did not suggest that we were only seeing the tip of the iceberg. If borne out by further testing, this could mean that current estimates of a roughly 1% fatality rate are accurate. This would make Covid-19 about 10 times more deadly than seasonal flu, which is estimated to kill between 290,000 and 650,000 people a year globally.
CLAIM: ‘IT ONLY KILLS THE ELDERLY, SO YOUNGER PEOPLE CAN RELAX’
Most people who are not elderly and do not have underlying health conditions will not become critically ill from Covid-19. But the illness still has a higher chance of leading to serious respiratory symptoms than seasonal flu and there are other at-risk groups – health workers, for instance, are more vulnerable because they are likely to have higher exposure to the virus. The actions that young, healthy people take, including reporting symptoms and following quarantine instructions, will have an important role in protecting the most vulnerable in society and in shaping the overall trajectory of the outbreak.
CLAIM: ‘FACE MASKS DON’T WORK’
Wearing a face mask is not an iron clad guarantee that you won’t get sick – viruses can also transmit through the eyes and tiny viral particles, known as aerosols, can still penetrate masks. However, masks are effective at capturing droplets, which is the main transmission route of coronavirus, and some studies have estimated a roughly five-fold protection versus no barrier. If you are likely to be in close contact with someone infected, a mask cuts the chance of the disease being passed on. If you’re just walking around town and not in close contact with others, wearing a mask is unlikely to make any difference.
CLAIM: ‘YOU NEED TO BE WITH AN INFECTED PERSON FOR 10 MINUTES’
For flu, some hospital guidelines define exposure as being within six feet of an infected person who sneezes or coughs for 10 minutes or longer. However, it is possible to be infected with shorter interactions or even by picking the virus up from contaminated surfaces, although this is thought to be a less common route of transmission.
CLAIM: ‘A VACCINE COULD BE READY WITHIN A FEW MONTHS’
Scientists were quick out of the gates in beginning development of a vaccine for the new coronavirus, helped by the early release of the genetic sequence by Chinese researchers. The development of a viable vaccine continues apace, with several teams now testing candidates in animal experiments. However, the incremental trials required before a commercial vaccine could be rolled out are still a lengthy undertaking – and an essential one to ensure that even rare side-effects are spotted. A commercially available vaccine within a year would be quick.
CLAIM: ‘IF A PANDEMIC IS DECLARED, THERE IS NOTHING MORE WE CAN DO TO STOP THE SPREAD’
A pandemic is defined as worldwide spread of a new disease – but the exact threshold for declaring one is quite vague. In practice, the actions being taken would not change whether or not a pandemic is declared. Containment measures are not simply about eliminating the disease altogether. Delaying the onset of an outbreak or decreasing the peak is crucial in allowing health systems to cope with a sudden influx of patients.

Why do many Jews have names that end in "berg" or "stein?"
Is there any Yiddish/Hebrew origin for these words?
Marc Caplan, a native of Louisiana, a graduate of Yale, with a PhD in comp lit from NYU.
“Berg” and “Stein” are both Germanized equivalents of two (Germanic-derived) Yiddish words, barg (mountain) and shteyn (stone). “Goldberg,” for example, means “gold mountain” and “Goldstein” means “gold stone” (or “goldstone”); Jews in both German-speaking and Yiddish-speaking cultures commonly had such names, and since the overwhelming majority (roughly 80–90%) of American Jews today descend from Jews in these areas, it’s unsurprising that these names remain common. Why Jews favored these names is unclear to me—they may refer to specific place names, or to attractive images (a golden mountain, for example, sounds like a nice image to me!), or there may have been an association of these names with wealth and prestige. There was also a tradition of Jews working and trading in precious metals and gemstones, but not enough Jews practiced these professions to explain the wide proliferation of these names.
In the absence of a clear or verifiable historical explanation of these names—and in general I would greet any overly pat or disproportionately confident answer about where or why Jews took the names they did with suspicion—I’ll leave you instead with a very, very old joke:
A Jew gets drunk in a bar and begins complaining to an Asian man sitting next to him about all the wrong that the Chinese have done: “You Chinese bombed Pearl Harbor,” is one of his indictments.
“Don’t be stupid,” the Chinese man says. “That was the Japanese.”
“Chinese, Japanese, what’s the difference?” the drunk replies.
“Well,” the Chinese man says, “you Jews sunk the Titanic.”
“What are you talking about?” the drunk asks. “That was an iceberg!”
“Iceberg, Goldberg: what’s the difference?”

Corona virus is large in size where the cell diameter is 400-500 micro and for this reason *any mask prevents its entry*
The virus does not settle in the air but is grounded, so it is *not transmitted by air*.
Coronavirus when it falls on a metal surface, it will live 12 hours, so *washing hands with soap* and water well enough.
Corona virus when it falls on the fabric remains 9 hours, so *washing clothes* or *being exposed to the sun for two hours* meets the purpose of killing it.
The virus lives on the hands for 10 minutes, so putting an *alcohol sterilizer* in the pocket meets the purpose of prevention.
If the virus is exposed to a temperature of 26-27 ° C. it will be killed, as it does not live in hot regions. Also *drinking hot water and sun exposure* will do the trick
And *stay away from ice cream and eating cold* is important.
*Gargle with warm and salt water* kills the tonsils' germs and prevents them from leaking into the lungs.
Adherence to these instructions fulfills the purpose of preventing viruses.

One big coronavirus challenge: how to stop touching your face
It took a coronavirus outbreak to remind us that we touch our faces way too many times. And cutting down on that will help stop the spread of the virus, health officials say.

We Play the Game
(Alan Parsons)
We hold our own
We fight to win
We stand alone
You drink the wine
You play the fool
You cross the line
You lose your cool
But no one cares
Still no one cares
You raise the bar
Lost in a trance
One bridge too far
No second chance
But no one cares
Still no one cares
We play the game
We hold our own
We fight to win
We stand alone
You had a dream
You cast the dice
Your shady scheme
You paid the price
But no one cares
Still no one cares
We play the game
With hearts of stone
You lose again
You're on your own
A turning tide
A streak of light
Arms open wide
The end's in sight
And someone cares
Yes someone cares
We play the game
We hold our own
We fight to win
We stand alone

* A burnt toast never hurts anyone but harsh words do*
Mom placed a plate of bread jam and extremely burned toast in front of a dad.
The mom apologized to dad for burning the toast but the dad said: “Honey, I love burned toast.”
Later that night, the child asked the dad if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped the child in his arms and said, “Your mamma put in a long hard day at work today and she was really tired.
And besides, A burnt toast never hurts anyone but harsh words do!”
