The Pixel Launcher is starting to roll out a new "search engine" settings page that lets you change the search provider used for the search bar on the home screen.
One user tells me they received a notification from the Search Engine Selector app to choose their search engine. After changing the search provider, the search bar's icon is updated to reflect the user's choice of provider. The user can go to the Pixel Launcher's settings then tap "home screen search settings" and finally "search engine" to change the search provider afterwards.
This is starting to roll out to users in Europe and comes as the DMA recently went into effect. Google announced last week that users in the EEA will see "additional choice screens" including one for selecting a default search engine when setting up a new Android device.
(Thanks to CeruleanDerpo on Mastodon for the tip!)

Google Wallet is starting to roll out the ability to import digital passes saved in Apple's .pkpass format!
One user on Telegram told me that Google Wallet is now able to import .pkpass files for them. This doesn't work for me yet, though several users on Twitter told me it does for them. Let me know if this works for you!
(Thanks to Cob on Telegram for the tip!)

YouTube for Android TV has a new UI for the video description/comments box.
Instead of overlaying the video on the right side (left), it now sits side-by-side with the video (right). I prefer this UI since it means I can read the description/comments without obscuring parts of the video.
Edit: Seems like this was announced 2 days ago!

Google Contacts is rolling out a new "contact ringtones" page that lets you "add a custom ringtone to individual contacts to help you recognize who's calling."
Some users are starting to see this on the latest version (4.27.26), but I don't have it, so it's likely a server-side rollout.
Let me know if you see this feature!

"Cherry-pick for 35.0.1 DP2 release. Update API 35 release config and emulator files for 24Q3 DP 2"
This was merged last Thursday, so we should be getting Android 15 DP2 sometime soon, hopefully.
(24Q1 = Android 14 QPR2
24Q2 = Android 14 QPR3
24Q3 = Android 15.)
Those of you who soft bricked your Pixel when sideloading DP1, I hope this coming release fixes things for you!

Google Keep is rolling out its new "help me create a list" feature to some more users. This feature uses generative AI to help you create a list.
If "help me create a list" has rolled out to you, you'll see a dialog upon opening the app that informs you. You'll then see a "help me create a list" button when you're creating a new note.
I haven't seen this yet in Google Keep, but let me know if you have it!
According to 9to5Google, this started slowly rolling out to some users since last month.
(Thanks to Arturo De La Rosa for the screenshots!)

Google Meet on Android 14 QPR2 supports Android's new app screen sharing feature, which lets you mirror a single app instead of your entire screen.
This lets you share an app screen during a presentation without risking you sharing your private messages or notifications.
The app screen sharing/casting feature is available starting in Android 14 QPR2 for Pixel but should be available on other devices with Android 15.

Samsung may have finally implemented seamless updates on their Android devices! When updating the new Galaxy A55 5G, users have noticed that the software update screen now shows a "downloading and installing" as well as "verification" steps.
In addition, TheMobileIndian reports that upon restarting their A55, they "did not encounter the One UI installation screen [recovery] that we see when we update other Samsung phones."
(Thanks to John and Abdulwahab for the tip!)
