As part of the Syrian Interim Government's project to transform and develop the armed forces, the Military Academy under the Ministry of Defence was inaugurated.

Within the scope of the project to transform the Syrian National Army, which was established under the leadership of the Syrian Interim Government, into a modern army, the opening of the Military Academy, which was established in Afrin district of Aleppo to provide modern military training to 500 personnel, was held on 29 May 2024 with the participation of Syrian Interim Government and Syrian National Army officials.

The Military Academy will ensure the transition of the command and administration structure of the Syrian National Army to a regular army, and the personnel to be trained will improve the central, legal and military quality of the armed forces of the Syrian Interim Government.

The Jarablus Branch of the Military Police Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Syrian Interim Government detained two YPG/PKK terrorists who were preparing to attack the Syrian National Army and the Turkish Armed Forces in Jarablus.

Military police units in Jarablus captured two persons who were recruited by the terrorist organisation YPG/PKK in exchange for money and trained in explosives in order to carry out attacks with a sudden operation.

Two terrorists and explosives were seized during the operation.

During the first interrogation, the two terrorists confessed that the YPG/PKK offered them money to organise an attack and said that they received training on improvised explosive devices in Manbij after the meetings in Ain al-Arab.
