Thought I knew every little “don’t do this dumb thing or you’ll die” thing in Minecraft until today.
I spent about two hours in the end blocking across islands. Eventually made my way through several end cities two had boats.
I had pillaged two elytra and about 20 shulker shells. Rocking all my top gear armor, weapons, and tools. I flew around for few minutes when I was done but couldn’t find a portal back to the over world..
Playing on Java, I spent too much time in the end probs about 2 hours of game play.. my elytra was 3/4 dead and I wanted to gtfo and decided I’d just hit F3 and fly straight to the cords I wrote down of the original portal..
I flew in the cords I had… the island disappeared behind me… into the abyss.. I got worried after a solid 2 minutes of flying into the black nothingness with all my loot.
..I’m getting worried now so I figure I’ll turn around and go back to the island and keep looking for a portal… I turned around in the abyss. Nothing behind me. I can’t tell if I’m flying up down in the right direction or what the hell is happening. I’m just floating through darkness…. Lost in the abyss all my work gone.
Try telling my friends this but they don’t play and they just see it as a kids game…. Bruh. Hours wasted. No getting my shit. Dumb mistake.
I had an ender chest and did manage to save one of my elytra 😉
