Unpopular opinion: Minecraft Bedrock Edition was meant as a cash grab and should not exist as it is right now.
Hey guys, probably seen the title and no this isn't ragebait and I'm quite serious about this, first I wanna say that I do support a sort of Minecraft for other platforms other than pc I believe that everyone should have a chance at experiencing Minecraft but Minecraft Bedrock Edition is just not what the non-java players deserve, 4J Studio did what Mojang couldn't for console and this really isn't nostalgia it genuinely felt like more love was put into it. And now Mojang as made Minecraft Bedrock a shell of it former self marketplace this marketplace that, I honestly feel that it is a bit too present for what is a paid game , it does not offer as much freedom to the player as Java does, they prefer to refine the marketplace instead of fixing the game and the various bugs that players encounter everyday, they refuse to deliver on their promises of an open source modding platform/ API and optimize Java edition and many more things that we were promise and that Mojang never delivered on, but hey we have Vibrant Visuals and Copper is useful now. Genuinely what are they doing to this game, and they have suspiciously starting to place Java Edition in the background and having Bedrock be their base for everything they have consistently added pretty good quality of life features on bedrock that they refuse to bring on Java (simple example leaves turn white when it snow) and guys I know that Bedrock is a larger share of the player base I'm not blindly criticizing but Java is still the beating heart of the franchise, mods, content, servers, events and all of the things that consistently keep Minecraft alive and it is just sad seeing it being treated like that we do deserve better us on Java and all those that play on Bedrock. (Sorry I know it is a pretty long rant.)
