I feel like I (we?) need a Vanilla+, aesthetically pleasing modpack
I don't know about you, but I'm so tired of current modpacks: why do we have 3+ options for storage in the same pack? Ok, not everyone likes AE2, so there's RS, and viceversa, but why include Simple Storage too? And Drawers on top of that.
Don't get me started on general tech mods: how many kind of "pulverizers" are there? I feel like I'm spending most of my time trying to figure out the most efficient item from a pool of 3-4 up to 7-8 items that do the exact same thing.
Not only that, but some mods are almost alienating given how far from Vanilla they are; Avaritia, Draconic Evolution, Environmental tech and Mystical Agriculture are by far the worst offenders of this: stupidly costly broken items that literally kill aspects of the game when you finally craft them and a way to get *anything* in the game **farming**. How stupid is that? But the point is that it's a necessary evil in most packs, because the resource requirements get insane really fast to make up for the power creep.
Last, but not least, have you noticed how packs include mods that have *nothing* in common stylistically without justifying it in the slightest? A world with Immersive Enginnering, Applied Energistics and Draconic Evolution together feels off to me.
The success of Create had me thinking: the most hyped mod these days is a mod that is aesthetically good, feels almost like a Vanilla experimental snapshot and accomplishes things that felt like you could "almost" do in a normal Vanilla playthrough.
I want to play a modpack that feels like glorified Vanilla. Utility mods like minimap, inventory tweaks, hwyla etc plus mods like Biomes O' Plenty, Quark, Botania, Create, Storage Drawers, maybe even Immersive Engineering, furniture mods etc., a pack where **every single mod** is somehow "justified" and has a purpose
**TL;DR** I want a modpack that makes your life easier and allows for cool looking processiong without automating yourself out of the game and that stays true to Vanilla Minecraft feeling and style.

is there a quest based modpack which you have to go from stone age all the way to advanced tech age?
I am looking for a quest based modpack which you start of in stone age and end at advanced tech and magic age.
when I say start of in stone age I mean you can only use stone and wooden tools until you have research enough to unlock next stage of tools, and you do that up until you get to draconic evolution/avaritia or mod that is similar to that in tech.

Can one have more than 20 saturation?
The endgame foods or top foods in Pam's and avartia give 12 hunger shanks and 50-100 saturation. is the extra 30-80 saturation do anything?

Beyond The Veil - A 1.12.2 story driven Lovecraftian mod, inspired by the likes of Witchery and Thaumcraft
After a very long development period, I am finally able to unveil my first mod!
Beyond The Veil is a tale about the Player themselves, about their journey towards Truth.
Through Knowledge comes Power, of course, and as the Player learns more about the occult, new branches of magic and science open up. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes macabre, but you'll get used to it.
[Link to the Curseforge page.](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/beyond-the-veil)
[Link to the Minecraft Forum thread.](https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/3013313-beyond-the-veil-forge-1-12-2)
Every research entry in Beyond The Veil is intertwined with narration, and as of the first release of the mod the story converges on a central setpiece: the [Fishing Hamlet](https://i.imgur.com/eWVd0K4.png), a semi-rare structure generated in the blackest biomes of the Overworld. The Dwellers there have a murky past, full of tightly kept secrets.
Among the several aspects of the occult, an earnest Seeker of Truth may encounter:
* The art of Dreaming, and its implications.
* Unseen kinds of flora, certainly not of this world.
* Surgery, performed on more or less willing subjects.
* The crafting and seeking of Baubles and other artifacts, that may aid one in their journey.
* The practice of handling blood, and creating links with it.
* Gathering worshippers, to become a sort of deity.
* Becoming a worshipper yourself, to appease your own God.
* Through devotion, become Deep.
* The making of city builders, aeons old. A servant race, yet very dangerous.
Due to the story driven, spoiler heavy style of BTV, it is encouraged to play it in survival from scratch.
[A few sneak peeks for the curious.](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/beyond-the-veil/screenshots)
Your journey begins as soon as you get back from the Nether for the first time, and are given Al Azif, where all knowledge is stored.
The mod requires Baubles to function.
Everything concerning **Bug Reports, Suggestions, Supporting the mod, Youtube and Modpack policies etc.** can be found on [the stickied post on BTV's subreddit,](https://www.reddit.com/r/BeyondTheVeilMod/comments/fvddg5/on_bug_reports_suggestions_supporting_the_mod/) which I encourage you to join :D
