1.21.1 NeoForge EvilMMO — a hidden RPG overhaul that deserves way more attention
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a mod I've been playing for a while now: EvilMMO. It's a full RPG overhaul for NeoForge 1.21.1, and honestly, I'm surprised it doesn't get more attention.
What it adds:
· 20+ classes and 12 races, each with their own progression
· 600+ spells with a Skyrim-style magic system (spell tomes, dual-casting on left/right mouse buttons)
· Class abilities bound to separate keys (R/Z/X/V)
· Mastery system, economy, and a bunch of other RPG mechanics
Why I'm recommending it:
I've put over 20 hours into it and have explored almost everything the mod currently offers. It genuinely feels like a different game — the class identity, the magic progression, and the sheer amount of content are impressive for a mod that barely anyone talks about.
One thing I'd love to see: class-specific spells on the left/right mouse buttons by default. Right now you always spawn with fire and heal regardless of class, which makes early game feel a bit samey across characters. I've already messaged the author about it, but I figured I'd mention it here too.
If you're into RPG mods and want something fresh to sink time into, give it a shot.
