I always wished Ice & Fire let you tame Sea Serpents, so I made a mod.

HOT TAKE: mods that add bosses should come up with better/more creative item drops
I am honestly so tired of great mods that add amazing boss fights and then proceed to make the bosses drop items that 90% of the time just turn into weapons or armor that are subsequently not even useful since most modpacks or general standalone mods don’t actually have the required progression built in for these to be useful in any way. Furthermore it’s also just incredibly boring and anticlimactic to always just craft these items in another weapon or armor set, it takes way from the excitement of it all.
It would be so so so much more refreshing and satisfying to be able to craft items that can do things or open up opportunities other than just having a sword that hits harder. The perfect example of a good way this is implemented imo is Alex’s mobs’ void worm, who’s drops can be crafted into a pickaxe that can transport you to the world border (which in turn ties into another mob in the mod but that’s just cool not really related to the discussion at hand)
This was mostly a rant, but i still hope it made sense and is worth discussing lol
