Looking for a Long-Term Modpack for Busy Adults
Hey everyone,
A few friends and I are looking for a Minecraft modpack that works well for a long-term playthrough.
We're all pretty busy these days with work, kids, and other responsibilities, so we don't always have time for long gaming sessions. Ideally, we're looking for a pack with plenty of variety and progression, where we can hop on together but also make meaningful progress individually, even if we only have 30 minutes to an hour to play.
We're open to pretty much anything. tech, magic, exploration, building, quests, or a good mix of everything. Bonus points if it stays interesting for months and doesn't require everyone to be online at the same time.
What modpacks would you recommend?

What causes players to abandon modpacks?
Currently I am hosting minecraft modpacks for a group of players with varied experience and interests. However, no matter which modpack we choose it always ends up with everyone quitting after a week at most.
Some of the modpacks that we've tried include: ATM10, Abyssal Ascent, CABIN Mi:F, Stoneblock 4 etc.
(our best shot was with SB4, as it lasted for a full week until the majority had beaten the pack).

Any high-quality packs?
I played Sky Factory 3, E2E and Sevtech Ages during covid and I loved them. I'm looking for a nice experience like that, but I keep coming up short. A lot of modern day packs are either just a Pile of Modsor a Create pack, and idk i've never really loved the create packs - tried Cabin, Above and Beyond and Liminal Industries and never really went anywhere with them. I also tried GTNH at one point -- grinded for roughly two hours, looked upon my grand creation, the oak door i could have gotten in roughly a minute in vanilla, and just. Gave up. I had made no progress. It looks like an absolutely awesome pack, but it's just brutal. Is there anything I've overlooked?
