Should I try GTNH if I'm a casual?
I waaaant to play something with lots of automation and cool stuff to do because I like to see number go up. GTNH seems like the perfect candidate, but I'm struggling to understand if the gameplay loop is actually fun to me. What I understand:
\-I will spend hours looking at the crafting table to make a door
\-I will wait literal days for a material to be processed
\-I will have to manage ratios and carefully control voltage unless my whole base explodes
\-I will do bees (Jesus Lord save me)
Is this how it will play out? I'm more of a plug and play type person where I build a multiblock, connect a pipe and call it a day. I'm also not an engineer. I also only have like two or three hours a day to play, although I don't mind a slow paced one (unless I spend a gajillion hours in the crafting table, of course).
Is the ginormous time commitment exaggerated?
Would nomi/monifactory be a better option, should I give GTNH a try anyway, or should I just stick to playing Create and Mekanism?

Recommended mods to make someone fall in love with you??????????
So let's say hypothetically you accidentally developed a massive crush on one of your twitter oomfs because he's so so cute and so smart and so cute when he says smart things and so you decided that obviously the best way to get to know him better is to offer to play create aeronautics with him. since he likes kerbal space program and he's really good at it which you have to be really smart to be good at. but also he's just a little guy so he's a really cute space engineer. and I guess create aeronautics is kinda like that. and he says yes so you ask what other kinds of mods he likes and make a modpack filled with those kinds of mods (he likes chill atmospheric mods with new blocks to build with. and farming mods. which is sososo cute) and so you think you've got a really good pack to play with him now but you're still not sure. so like what are some mods that have romantic opportunities to turn your twitter mutual into your minecraft boyfriend. like I can't just put my minecraft bed next to his I need other cute romantic things to do with him too. or like maybe not even romantic situations but like any situation that will bring me and him together and make us closer and build an association in his head that I could father his children. Are there any discord e-boys who can help me here and give me tips on how to rizz a smart but sensitive gayboy in minecraft???? neoforge 1.21.1 btw

tips for mods to make someone hate me??????????
So let's say hypothetically you accidentally developed a massive hatred of one of your twitter oomfs because he's so so ugly and so dumb and so annoying when he says dumb things and so you decided that obviously the best way to get to torment him is to offer to play gregtech with him. since he hates factorio and he's really bad at it which you have to be really dumb to be bad at. but also he's a pathetic little guy so he's a really shitty space engineer. and I guess gregtech is kinda like that. and he says yes like a dumbass so you ask what other kinds of mods he likes and make a modpack filled with those kinds of mods (he likes hardcore survival mods with new blocks to build with. and grinding mods. which is sososo annoying) and so you think you've got a really terrible pack to torment with him now but you're still not sure. so like what are some mods that have opportunities to turn your twitter mutual into your minecraft archnemesis. like I can't just launch icbms at him I need other annoying awful things to do with him too. or like maybe not even annoying situations but like any situation that will bring me and him together and make us fight more and build an association in his head that I could curse his bloodline. Are there any discord e-girls who can help me here and give me tips on how to torment an annoying little gayboy in minecraft???? kneoforge 1.7.10 btw

I combined all of CurseForge & Modrinth 🎉 Introducing ModDex.gg: Reviews, Pack Finder, Pack Comparison, and a lot more
ModDex.gg Discover Page
TLDR:
For the first time ever, you can now search, sort, and filter by ALL of Modrinth and CurseForge
Full catalog syncing, CF + MR matching, full project details, profiles, pack finder, pack comparison, personal libraries, user stacks, and a lot more
Reviews/users from MMC Reviews imported, lots of new features for reviewers
More in the works, such as more features and support for other sites and games
Hi all! Some of you may remember me from posts about my website MMC Reviews. Back in 2023 I launched MMC Reviews because as both a player and a pack dev, I kept running into the problem of most modpack recommendations still coming from word of mouth, and high download count didn't always equal quality. There are incredible hidden gems out there that never get the attention they deserve.
MMC Reviews helped, but eventually I hit the limits of what that site could become. So in early 2025 I started a full rewrite from scratch with new architecture, features, and a much bigger vision.
That rewrite is now ModDex.gg.
# If you used MMC Reviews before
MMC Reviews was built around manually submitted projects. If a mod or pack wasn't requested and approved, it didn't exist on the site.
ModDex fixes that completely. Not only is the entirety of CurseForge and Modrinth automatically synced, but when the same project exists on both platforms, we match them into one page so reviews and ratings stay in one place instead of getting split across CF and MR.
Other big upgrades from MMC Reviews:
Full project pages with files, dependencies, authors, links, galleries, similar projects, and expandable descriptions
Public user profiles with reviews, activity, social links, and more
Reputation ranks with unlockable perks
Extreme filtering & sorting capabilities with mod inclusion/exclusion, tag exclusion (exclude all MCreator and AI-Assisted projects, for example), and so much more.
More review options, review drafts, downvotes, developer responses, and way better moderation/reporting
Login with Modrinth (auto-verifies you on your own projects)
ModDex.gg Individual Project Page
# Some of the new features
These are the features I'm most excited about that MMC Reviews never had (or never had properly):
Pack Finder: detailed questionnaire for finding modpacks. You get a ranked list at the end you can share with friends.
Pack Comparison: put up to 4 modpacks side by side. You can even compare Modrinth modpacks against CurseForge.
Quick ratings: you can rate a project without writing a full review which still helps the overall score.
Custom Discord alerts: paste a webhook on any project page and ModDex will send a Discord message when a new review goes live.
Embed badges: paste a live rating badge on your CF or MR page. It updates on its own when ratings change.
Community tag suggestions: suggest tags on projects, vote on suggestions, reputation affects vote weight. Enough community agreement and the tag goes active.
Ecosystem Stats: interactive stats page for the whole CF + MR ecosystem.
[ModDex.gg Pack Finder Results](https://preview.redd.it/ars6le03fj3h1.png?width=1898&format=png&auto=webp&s=4903a189934331a5f71cf3d6817250c1f9c95ad2)
Project lists:
Library: track modpacks with Playing, Plan to Play, Completed, etc. Notes, dates, time to complete, public or private.
Following: follow projects and get notified when there's a new release, new MC version support, and/or a new review. You can filter update notifications by MC version.
Stacks: curated collections (ie "my favorite tech mods"). Custom sort, descriptions, public or private. More

# Reviews
* You can now rate projects without writing a full review. Written reviews have many new options, including the option to add the pack to your library right from the review form.
* Verified Modrinth devs (login with Modrinth) get a badge on their own project reviews, can respond to reviews on-site, and can edit tags on their projects.
* We still take moderation seriously and have built out a whole slew of robust tools to help us, making this site extremely scalable. Guidelines, reporting with specific violations, rejected reviews with automated resubmission process, and more.
I have dedicated much of the last year of my life working on this site, so I sincerely hope it will provide the community some value. I made this site with the goal of it not only being useful to everyone, but also fun!
Thank you to everyone who supported MMC Reviews while it was finding its footing. ModDex is what I wanted that site to become from the start, and I'm really happy to finally share my vision with you all!
I still have so much in store for ModDex, including support for other games, platforms, and a huge list of features I plan to add. Your support would give me the motivation to keep improving the site. Cheers ❤
