Breaking: feedthebeast mods deny AI allegations.
"People think just because we're pro-AI then we must use it to write our posts.", remarked a moderation team member in a short conversation with the press. "We have never used", emphasized the moderator, "and will never use any sort of intelligence for our messages."

Ive been building a Minecolonies submod where villages run themselves and go to war
Been working on a Minecolonies addon called Dynasty for a while now. Just put together a teaser trailer and figured I would share what it actually does.
Minecolonies is amazing for building your own colony, but the world around you stays empty. This mod fills it in. NPC villages spawn across the world, build themselves up from a single town hall into proper towns, hire workers, train guards, upgrade buildings, all without you doing anything.
Every village has a personality (military, agrarian, forest, mining, default) and a stance toward strangers (peaceful, hostile, xenophobic, mercantile, expansionist). They form opinions about each other based on what happens, sign trade deals, build alliances, declare wars, and remember grudges for a long time.
When two villages go to war, one of them actually sends a raid party. The squad marches across the map, and if the target village has city walls they breach through them block by block. Then they push into the town and fight the defenders. After the raid, the loser gets weaker, the winner gets stronger, and that changes who attacks whom next. If a village loses too many wars without finding allies, it can fall into vassalage under a stronger neighbour or just collapse entirely.
Other stuff in there: right click any citizen to talk to them, get quests from workers, a full diplomacy GUI with a stylized map showing all known villages and their treaties, trade caravans that actually walk between villages with goods, and a stage system where villages grow from small huts to metropolises with stone walls.
Teaser trailer here: https://youtu.be/V0fzDjdMT6o?si=AYJhq5F5UROhhFS4
Still snapshot stage, lots of things to polish, but I think the foundation is solid. Would love to hear what you think.
