I got tired of opening 40 chests looking for iron so I made a mod that remembers where everything is
so I've been playing modded for years and the one thing that always drove me crazy was losing items in my own base. you build up like 30+ chests and suddenly you can't find anything without opening every single one.
I looked for a mod that fixes this and the existing ones either only search inside one chest at a time or need server-side installation. none of them actually let you search across ALL your containers at once from anywhere.
so I built one. basically as you play it quietly remembers the contents of every chest, barrel, and shulker box you open. then when you need something you just press a keybind (default G), type what you're looking for, and it tells you exactly which containers have it. the matching ones glow through walls too so you can just walk straight to them without guessing. the whole thing is client-side so it works on vanilla servers and you don't need to configure anything.
available for Fabric and NeoForge on 1.21.1, and Fabric and Forge on 1.20.1.

A little showcase of a DELTARUNE-UNDERTALE-inspired mod, PENUMBRA PHANTASM
I love DELTARUNE to the bits, and I decided to try expressing it through creating a Minecraft mod themed around the entire thing of Dark Fountains and Dark Worlds with some UNDERTALE stuff sprinkled in.
I've been working on this mod for a couple months now, and despite some bottlenecks, I am making steady progress, much thanks to friends who help me out a lot.
Currently I'm focusing on implement Dark Fountains and Dark Worlds, I've already made the bones of the system with making a fountain, it filling up rooms with darkness and spreading through doors, as well as implementing different entrance sequences as per canon. The only thing left in relation to the fountains is making them sealable, making light world doors lead to Grand Doors in the dark world for entrance/exit from the dark world without the need to seal the fountain, and hopping onto a dimensional API mod, so every fountain actually creates its own unique dark world dimension depending on the surroundings in the room.
In the future I plan to add very interesting utility items, items from both DELTARUNE and UNDERTALE, like the weapons and armors of the heroes, shadow crystals, climbing gear, black knife, SAVE points, shadow mantle, etc; And some custom content like the fractal mirror which lets you return to the light world no matter where you are in the dark world, the SOUL hearth, a home for your very SOUL, and others.
Overall, I have pretty huge plans for the mod and I'm insanely hyped about it. It is my passion project, it will not be perfect, but it is to the best of my ability, and I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for reading this far!
With a knife and enough DETERMINATION, one can pierce the barrier between LIGHT and DARK into the DEPTHS
