So che siete molto interessati ogni volta a incontrarci in fiera, anche quando ci mettono nei buchi più remoti, ma questa volta avremo un padiglione GROSSO solo PER NOI!

i appear at this unholy time (2am, for anyone wondering) to say a bunch of things since atp it's what I mainly do here (instead of posting art, although I do have a bunch of things to post, and I will post them soon, I promise!! I also have some exciting news although there's not much confirmed so far, it is in fact mostly holes and dreams. I'll update y'all anyway)

so first things first I’ma say all the words inside my head I watched Enola Holmes 3 today
I actually enjoyed it
maybe not the best movie ever, but it was a very nice almost-2-hours movie

I liked the story, i liked how everything came together at the end, but i fear it was lacking in one specific aspect: Johnlock.
now, don't get me wrong, I was very much not hoping to get much and I would've been happy with very little crumbs here and there, even just some screentime togerher, but like, c'mon man, one single interaction AND IT'S A FLASHBACK? NOT EVEN SOMETHING AT THE WEDDING? NOT EVEN JOHN CURING SHERLOCK LIKE HE DID WITH OTHER CHARACTERS? NOTHING AT ALL? BRUH. LET'S BE FR.
so anyway this obviously led to AO3 so I will now go read 94 fics

then we have, uhm, a slightly more important thing to say

If any of you use TV Time to keep track of shows and movies, I am very sorry to tell you that they're shutting down. like forever. this will happen on July 15th (that, depending on timezones and the exact time that it will close, could as well be 14th or 16th), and they have a specific page on their website to download your data to import it in other similar apps.
BUT
if you want to do this more easily, there's already a Chrome extension that does this, and it's by a different app called Refract. it's currently SLOW AS HELL bc of the big influx of new users (there's a queue of people importing movies and shows from TV Time, I'm 32590th out of 33126, but when I started I was 33570 so that's progress at least?) but other than that it seems nice. haven't interacted with the community yet but there's also a discord for it. overall I still need some time to judge it properly, but if you have doubts there are tons of lists of and articles about similar apps to move to now that we're losing this gem of a database

Lista di compagnie che accettano/non accettano fan merch. State attenti quando andate all'estero raga

lascio questo doc a scopo imformativo e tendo a sottolineare 2 cose.

1. In italia i controlli sono carenti o addirittura assenti quindi non iniziate a preoccuparvi in massa sul vostro merch che avete già fatto. Fate semplicemente attenzione alle grandi ip che aspettano soltanto di incularvi appena possono (Nintendo la prima di tutte.)

2. Questo non vuol dire che potete fare come vi pare non vendete prodotti ricalcati o AI, danneggiate soltanto voi stessi e chi avete copiato sopratutto se è un artista freelance.

Ma soprattutto non prendiamoci in giro... Le fanart le facciamo tuttə. Sia per passione che per farci qualche soldino in più dato che PURTROPPO vende più della roba originale.
Quindi non c'è bisogno di ergersi su un piedistallo, e lo dico da artista che disegna SOLO materiale originale, rispetto a chi vive e si paga l'affitto creando merchandise non ufficiale, perché i comicon vari non sono uno spazio adibito alla vendita di originali quanto ad accogliere fan di materiali già esistenti (anime, manga, videogames, ecc...)
Rubate a Nintendo, rubate a Disney, rubate perché queste multinazionali sono il motivo per cui l'arte originale è morta, per cui l'autorialità è morta.
La colpa non è del merch artist, è della multinazionale.
La colpa non è del singolo ma del padrone.
