Pezeshkian squarely in front in the major urban centers, based on our sources and reliable info.

Jalili leads in small to medium cities and especially the rural areas.

Ghalibaf is falling behind Jalili.

🇮🇷 NOTE: In the second round, only Jalili and Pezeshkian will remain; more than half of Ghalibaf's votes will go to Jalili (his fellow conservative), and Pezeshkian could draw in non-voters; it will be an extremely close election, but Jalili now has a path to victory

— This is a very disappointing result for Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf. I would even go as far as saying it can be considered a public humiliation.

Qalibaf was insisting on Jalili to withdraw in favor of him. Now, you see why Jalili did not; he's getting more than 3x the vote of Qalibaf.

For someone with such name recognition and a huge political career, this result will have big implications for his future in politics. Especially losing to someone like Saeed Jalili, who is much less experienced.

It also shows a clear sign: Jalili and Qalibaf are both Conservatives, but Jalili is much more of a religious hardliner. The people have definitely spoken.

If Qalibaf had withdrawn in favor of Jalili, who was very obviously leading the polls for the Conservatives, the election would have likely been over in the first round.

🇮🇷/🇺🇳 Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations:

'While Iran deems the Zionist regime's threats to launch an attack on Lebanon as psychological warfare, should it embark on full-scale military aggression, an obliterating war will ensue.

All options, including the full involvement of all Resistance Fronts, are on the table.'
