These warheads can change course mid flight and right before impact at high speeds, making them nearly impossible to intercept.

After the initial launch phase, the Fatah HGV can fly at speeds of Mach 12 to Mach 13, according to the IRGC.

The warhead is capable of both exo-atmospheric and inter-atmospheric maneuvering, which happens within 500 kilometers proximity of the intended target.

This makes it capable of sucessfully evading most advanced air defense systems currently in operation.

- The missile has a 2-stage solid fuel engine with a range of 1400 km

- The missile is manoeuvrable in both outside and inside the earth's atmosphere and it has a maximum speed of Mach 25 outside of the atmosphere and a speed of 13-15 Mach when approaching its target

- The usage of alloy compounds gives this missile a very small radar cross section which makes it hard for radars to detect.

- 🇮🇷 Regarding the Iranian Fatah HGV, it is important to understand how significant this development really is

Hypersonic warheads, or hypersonic glide vehicles, have only been developed by six different countries besides Iran, and four of these countries (Japan, France, United States & North Korea) have not yet sucessfully finished their development.

In reality, only two countries have an active-duty HGV; China and Russia. The fact that Iran is now part of this list, is a major feat.

This evidently puts Iran among the very top of ballistic missile tech, and shows the huge process that has been made since the 80's, when they started experimenting with Russian Scud missiles, under the guidance of the late general Tehrani Moghaddam.

Moreover, all of this has been achieved with very limited outside influence. Almost all of Iran's missiles are completely domestic. And this is despite 40 years of crippling sanctions.
