— 🇮🇷/🇷🇺 REPORT: Iranian General Qasem Soleimani personally led special operation to rescue Russian Su-24 pilot in Syria

When Turkey shot down a Russian Su-24 fighter jet over Syria in 2015, the main pilot was killed by rebel fire while ejecting.

However, the co-pilot survived the crash, but GPS determined he was stuck in ISIS-held territory.

General Soleimani along with 20 Hezbollah special forces and Iranian-trained Syrian commandos flew to the area and successfully rescued the remaining pilot in a special operation, with the help of Russian intelligence, logistics and air support.
