— 🇮🇷/🇷🇺 REPORT: Iranian General Qasem Soleimani personally led special operation to rescue Russian Su-24 pilot in Syria

When Turkey shot down a Russian Su-24 fighter jet over Syria in 2015, the main pilot was killed by rebel fire while ejecting.

However, the co-pilot survived the crash, but GPS determined he was stuck in ISIS-held territory.

General Soleimani along with 20 Hezbollah special forces and Iranian-trained Syrian commandos flew to the area and successfully rescued the remaining pilot in a special operation, with the help of Russian intelligence, logistics and air support.

The USS Florida, an Ohio-class nuclear submarine, was navigating underwater in the Strait of Hormuz as part of the United States fifth fleet.

As it approached and attempted to enter Iranian territorial waters, the domestically built Fateh submarine from the Iranian Navy detected the American sub on its radar and issued stern warnings, forcing it to come to the surface and change course.
