🎥 Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians during a raid in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday where the Israeli military said it had launched a counterterrorism operation against “armed militants”.

The Palestinian health ministry in Ramallah said nine more people had been wounded, including two who were in a critical condition.
📰 The UK’s opposition Labour Party has backed the International Criminal Court (ICC) after its chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, announced he would be seeking arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Supporters of Israel and Netanyahu, including US President Joe Biden, have responded to Khan's announcement with outrage.

However, UK Shadow Foreign Secretary David Lammy defended the court, saying it was the “cornerstone” of international law.

🎥 Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday denounced the request of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his arrest warrant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza as “a moral outrage of historic proportions”.

He accused Karim Khan, the ICC’s prosecutor, of being “among the great antisemites in modern times”.

Earlier on Monday, Khan announced he filed an application for arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh and Mohammed Deif.
📰 Workers Party of Britain MP George Galloway took aim at UK lawmakers and politicians who he said displayed “double standards and vomit-inducing levels of hypocrisy” for slamming the International Criminal Court (ICC), which announced on Monday it was seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as three leaders of Hamas, on the grounds of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

A spokesperson for UK Prime minister Rishi Sunak had dismissed the ICC prosecutor’s arrest warrant request as “unhelpful”.

🎥 ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan said unnamed senior leaders have reached out to him undermining the authority and purpose of the court after he issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar on charges of war crimes.

In an interview with CNN, Khan said one unnamed senior leader told him, “This court is built for Africa and for thugs like Putin.”
📰 The deputy mayor of Be'er Sheva, a city in southern Israel, has posted photos of himself posing with handcuffed and blindfolded Palestinian detainees on Facebook.

Shimon Tobol took the images and footage while he was doing military service in the occupied West Bank from 7 October until the end of January 2024.

🎥 Israeli drone strikes on Rafah injure civilians

Palestinian civil defence crews transported several injured civilians after gunfire from Israeli military quadcopter drones targeted civilians near the Palestinian-Egyptian border south of Rafah.
The poppy has long featured in Palestinian art and in the spring, the flower blankets fields in the region with its bright red colour.

Featuring the colours that make up the Palestinian flag, the poppy has come to symbolise resistance and indigenous Palestinian heritage; the rich red also represents the blood shed by those who have fought for the Palestinian nation.

Today, the image of a poppy is shared widely on social media by activists in an effort to show solidarity with the country.

🎥 A report on Israeli channel Kan 11 shows the northern Israeli settlement of Metula completely abandoned.

A man speaking to a reporter says that in the settlement, which is situated near the Lebanese border, over 130 homes were either completely or partially destroyed by Hezbollah attacks. He adds that settlers abandoned their agricultural fields which have not been harvested.
📰 Associated Press has criticised the Israeli government after one of the news agency's live feeds was forcibly shut down and their equipment confiscated in southern Israel.

In a statement, AP said the interference was due to an "abusive use by the Israeli government of the country’s new foreign broadcaster law", which was passed in April primarily as a means of shutting down Al-Jazeera.
