Hey everyone, i built this app called Elet (ዕለት) and wanted to share it with the community. it’s a complete ethiopian orthodox spiritual companion.
it handles the exact 24-year bahire hasab liturgical calendar, 81-canon scriptures, fasting and penance tracking, and prayer alarms. i made sure everything is 100% offline-first and totally private, even adding biometric locks for spiritual journals.
i'm attaching a pic below so you can see how it looks. you can check out the site to download the latest apk or see the full source code on my github.

Mels is out now.

If you work with APIs, you already know how annoying it can be to test endpoints running on localhost, especially now that most API testing tools are becoming more online-first.
So Mels is a fully offline API testing software, basically an alternative to Postman, but focused on testing your APIs directly from your machine.
And now it supports not only Windows but Linux 🐧 as well 😁 .
Big credit to @Mike ❤️ for building Mels and getting the project to this point.
I just joined in to contribute to the project as well, mainly because I’m a sucker for an of offline-first software and espically working with postman offline is annoying nowdays, I really like the idea behind Mels.
test it, break it, try things out and let us know what you find.
We’ll be actively working on it and making it better.

Working on this kind of storage, when i want to work on some projects i delete my other projects node_modules folder, i even had a Android NDK folder i deleted that for some other projects 😭😭

I built something I take to the heart. Derash (Fund). We have people around us and we don't know who is carrying things they were never meant to carry alone. A bill that doesn't stop growing. someone who needs help but they don't know any one to ask or they're too proud to ask. And I also know there are people who would help. I am sure of it, Not for credit or anything but to actually help people. That's why I built this. A place where someone can say plainly what they're going through, and someone else can decide to be the one who answers. The money never comes to me or the platform. It goes to them directly,into their own hands, My only job is to stand at the door and make sure the person asking is real, so that when you choose to give, you're giving to a person and not a story.
