Listening class recap

Each section has its recording "type" and language, to ace the particular section you need to understand that.

Section 1 is about registration. In this section you only have a single question type which is gap filling. The words you write into those gaps are mainly names, numbers, addresses, dates or other daily things they might include. This is the easiest section of the test taking it to 10/10 shouldn't take more than a week.

Section 2 is about locations. This section is where other question type start to appear - you might end up with a map, matching or multiple choice questions here. But the idea still revolves locations - to ace it you need to know the vocab for directions, coordination, locating objects and positioning.

Section 3 is about sth related to universities. Most of the test takers consider this section the hardest one, and I'd say it indeed is. Just like in Section 2, you might get pretty much anything here - matching, tables or MCQ. The last one is the most common though, to be good at solving MCQ you need to know what's called "elimination" technique - you filter out the correct answer by crossing out the obviously wrong ones.

Section 4 is a lecture. In 99% of the cases the one and only question type here is gap filling, but it's a bit harder than section 1. The lecture is on a particular topic - science, history, culture or whatever, and the words you need as answers are going to be related to that topic. I'd say this is the reason synonyms are important here.

More and more people want to get what they want (goods, services, news) instantly, without having to wait

Why is this?
Is having expectations a positive or a negative development?
