I remember a couple of guys were asking me about opinion (agree/disagree) essays in my DMs.
Here's a full explanation of them and a verified band 9.0 paragraph structure.
Feel free to share it with your friends since it's written by a band 9.0 holder Chris Pell, and I personally use it for my task 2 opinion essays. (I got 8.0 for task 2)

Q: Young people who commit serious crimes should be punished in the same way as adults.
Do you agree or disagree?
A: The question of how governments must punish juvenile offenders remains contentious, and some suggest that they should receive a punishment comparable to that of adults. Despite a few valid justifications for equal punishment, I disagree with the provided statement and believe that states need to develop different measures to deal with youngsters.
There are several reasons why young criminals must undergo similar punitive measures as adults when it comes to serious crimes. Firstly, any form of illegal action remains illegal, no matter how old the offender is. Therefore, some believe governments need to stick to the fundamental principle that a violation of the law still carries repercussions. They say the severity and consequences of the wrongdoing must be the determining factors for the final sentence. For instance, a murder is still a murder regardless of the age of the convict, and the fact that a human being has been killed must dictate the punishment.
However, I am of the opinion that underage criminals must not be punished in the same manner as their older counterparts. Apparently, many youngsters are unaware of their actions, fail to comprehend the consequences, or perhaps lack impulse control over their behavior. This may be the core reason behind the violation of the law. Additionally, due to the fact that their brains are still developing, they have the potential for rehabilitation. A child may have committed a single crime unintentionally, and, given the appropriate environment, these offenders may potentially be re-educated and reintegrated into society. Therefore, I believe governments must think of other measures for younger lawbreakers.
In conclusion, in spite of some justifications for equal measures, I believe offenders of young age should not receive the same treatment as those of older age. Considering the limited understanding and the rehabilitation potential, alternative approaches may be more effective. By addressing the cause rather than the effect, governments can secure a better society for future generations.

This is my response to the Set 4 Task 2 question of Bekzod Mirahmedov's ongoing writing marathon. I wrote it under exam conditions in about 40 minutes, and I can tell it looks gooood 😁. I would say one of the best essays by me so far. Here's the plan, it took about 7 minutes:
Introduction
Position - zor, yaxshi, malades, but I disagree
Body 1
ts - there are reasons why "gangsta kids" should receive the same punishment
explain - a crime is a crime, regardless of age
explain a lil more - severity of the crime and the consequences must determine the punishment.
example - a murder
Body 2
ts - juvenile offenders should not be punished in the same manner
explain - many are unaware of their actions and have the potential for rehabilitation.
explain - kids don't comprehend the consequences and lack impulse control
example - no time for it
conclusion

This is a solid band 8.0 essay, assessed by ChatGPT. I'll send the assessment tomorrow (technically today).

A friend of mine just got his score breakdown. His overall score was 7.0 with W 7.5
I had the same writing score and turns out we have the same breakdown as well.
Guess who that is
