Synthetics allow investors to make use of multiple financial instruments instead of focusing only on one investment asset and are designed to suit the needs of different types of investors.

💥 Liquidity portfolios serve as a replacement for liquidity pools.

Metastable is using portfolios instead of trading pairs to hold liquidity — enabling liquidity providers to provide any single token featured in a specific portfolio and acquire shares for it.

This will open the doors of #DeFi 2.0 for Hedera’s network.

Metastable will support multiple portfolios — each with multiple types of tokens within them.

Users will be able to switch between the portfolios depending on which token they want to provide or acquire.

Liquidity pool decentralized digital asset exchanges (#DEX's) powered by automatic market maker algorithms (#AMM's) are widely used in Ethereum, BNB Chain and other blockchain networks.

Most of them are built on constant function market makers (CFMM).

The constant product market maker used initially in Uniswap is still the most popular option.

One of the problems that all CFMM face is price slippage. Every swap operation shifts the price making it less profitable.

Here is where #Metastable comes onto the scene with a completely different approach to liquidity management...

🌊 We propose to change the common principle that liquidity providers must invest into token pairs.

Instead, we will allow LPs to simply invest tokens and let a special liquidity management mechanism use these tokens for swaps with controllable slippage.

💥 Decentralized Finance revolution which was started by Uniswap in 2018 has come a long way since then — with the year 2022 being the key year that has been filled with launches of cutting-edge DeFi technology.

Technologists, entrepreneurs and researchers have been looking for impermanent loss and high transaction costs solutions for almost 4 years now, and although some solutions have been found — they are far from the ultimate resolution of the aforementioned problems.

And that is where Hedera Hashgraph and Metastable come in.

Hedera’s cutting edge hashgraph technology allows high TPS, high security, fast finality and most importantly — extremely low transaction fees.

All these factors being present in a technology are the key in manifesting a global DeFi system.

More is required, however, for the true large scale adoption of the Decentralized Finance technology. If a DeFi ecosystem is to garner a large amount of users it must possess a high level of practicality, be friendly to new users and also provide the ability to generate large APY on crypto deposits.
