So where does the crypto in the game actually come from? In other words, what backs it?

🤠Usually, a crypto game has its own token—the heart of the game. It's either limited in quantity or not. In MetaTrace, we have both: TRC (finite) and ACE (infinite). And like any token, it must be backed by something (real assets).

But if you produce something infinitely, or even just too much, it loses its value. Makes sense, right? So what do we do then?

We periodically burn tokens, thereby reducing their quantity. Okay.🤝

But if we keep distributing tokens in the game, their value will start to drop again. And this will turn into that scary term—a Ponzi scheme. Tokens can't just appear out of thin air (just like regular money).

So, we need a balance that allows players to win a lot of tokens without breaking the game's economy. How do we achieve this?

So, here’s the challenge: to build a stable economy in the crypto game (to keep the gameplay exciting and make sure prizes don’t just come out of thin air). Here’s what we’ve managed to come up with 🪙⬇️

How to earn in MetaTrace? 🤟

This is one of the most popular questions we get. To clarify, since it’s a game, we’re not talking about straightforward "earnings" but rather the chance to win cryptocurrency. In this post, I’ll explain how the reward system works and where the funds come from.

Main Gameplay:

🔸 Collecting Pins: Your avatar moves around the game world, gathering pins.
🔸 Resources and Tasks: Each pin contains various resources and tasks.
🔸 Getting Tickets: A Gold Ticket can drop from a Pin if you have a subscription or it can be purchased in the store. Silver Tickets can be bought with GEMs in the store.
🔸 Using Tickets: Tickets give you a chance to win a reward in the AirDrop.
🔸 Frequency: On average, a player can get 4 Gold Tickets per day.
🔸 Opportunities: The more you play and the higher your avatar and office level, the more tickets you can get.

How are rewards distributed in the AirDrop?

Rewards come from a common pool that is formed every two weeks. The pool consists of:
🔹 In-game purchase revenue: All funds from purchases in the app store, Telegram bot, and web platform go into the pool.
🔹 Marketing budget: We also contribute a portion of our marketing budget to increase the prize pool and attract new players.
🔹 Virtual resources: The pool also includes pet shards, gems, and tickets.

The marketing budget is our investment in project growth, allocated as a percentage to create larger prizes.

How does the prize system work?

Each ticket has a certain value, from pet shards to a major cryptocurrency prize. The more actively and frequently you play, the higher your chance to win the GRAND PRIZE 🥇

Growth Strategy

We plan to increase the prize pool every two weeks and continue attracting new players. The more players and the more purchases they make, the bigger the Super Prizes will be. Our goal is to reach a Super Prize of ONE BITCOIN within 3-4 months 🤑

🪙 We’re gradually moving toward rebalancing Airdrop as a game mechanic.

What’s changing:

- ⬆️ First of all, the best part — we’re increasing the prize pool
- 🔥 Airdrop prizes will be split into seasons. New season, new prize pool
- 💎 Each season will have a limited number of prizes
- ✨ The prize pool will refresh at the end of each season (just to make it extra clear)

The current season will be launched as a test on November 14 and will run until the next update. And I’m sure you have plenty of questions. So, leave them in the comments 👀

🏳️ About Security in the Game

❗️ The crypto world isn’t just “fun” and “meme-coins.” It’s not just Bitcoin bull runs. It’s also a big field for fraud (scams).

🛡 To protect your assets and maintain the game economy, we made several changes in the latest update. 🔒 You’ve probably already noticed them.

⌛ Now, when withdrawing TRC, ACE, or NFTs from your wallet, you’ll see two sections: “Available” and “On Hold.” Assets in “Available” can be withdrawn immediately, while those “On Hold” will be available for withdrawal after 7 days.

This change prevents attacks, thefts, and the exploitation of vulnerabilities before they even happen. 🤠

So, how does the hold work?

It automatically counts down 7 days, starting from the moment you receive the reward in the game.

📌 One important note: every withdrawal has a fee of 50 ACE. Keep in mind that for a successful withdrawal, your amount must be at least 50 ACE less than your current balance.

📍As the Cards Fall

👨‍💻In the very beginning, we built MetaTrace as a geolocation-based game. The map was the main stage, and the actions depended on players’ real-life movements. But something went wrong. Why?☹️

🌐Geolocation technology is tied to the phone’s GPS services, which rely on satellites. While this feels natural for navigation, for gaming... we faced a chasm of challenges:

- 🔋phones heat up and drain battery quickly
- ⚡️requires consistently high-speed internet
- 💀weaker phone models struggle
- ⚠️GPS issues spawn a flood of bugs
- 😒there’s simply less interaction with the game (players have to move in real life)

What’s next? With each new player, it became clear: the success of games like this began and ended with Pokemon GO.

👀So it’s time to change our approach. Starting with version 1.2, we introduced simplified map-based collection. But a new problem arose: the process became... boring.

📍The map is the core gameplay of the game, around which all other mechanics revolve. But it wasn’t engaging enough.

So, we introduced the Game Spinner mechanic in version 1.4, and most players loved it!

Few people know, though, that this was the start of a whole series of map-related updates. ⭐️

What happened yesterday?

Yesterday, our system was subjected to an external attack, which resulted in the ACE smart contract being compromised. The attackers generated 10^16 ACE tokens and stole around 1 million TRC.

At approximately 17:00 UTC, we suspended the ACE contract and all game-related service contracts.

These measures are essential to identify threats, thoroughly assess damages, and prevent further attacks.

Currently, we are continuing our investigation. However, we have already implemented security enhancements to reinforce our defenses. Services will be resumed under normal operation soon.

🏳️We are also developing a compensation plan to address the damage caused to players, including a complete review of security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

🏳️ Global Changes (1/3)

The recent incident has been a major shock for the entire project.

This event has led us to re-evaluate certain aspects of the game to create a stronger and more secure system.

🪙In the upcoming update, MetaTrace will transition to a single token — TRC, which will fully replace ACE in the game.

This means that:

🫡 All Airdrop rewards are now issued in TRC tokens instead of ACE. Additionally, this season we’ve increased the prize pool and the number of grand prizes.

🔜 Starting next week, we will launch the process of converting ACE to TRC for all players.

❗️We will completely remove ACE from all mechanics (Airdrop, pet creation, buildings, attacks on opponents, and the D2E mode) and replace it with other rewards, including TRC.

⚙️The D2E mode will go into reconstruction with the next update. All players with NFT Cars in their garages will receive an additional drop as compensation for the wait.

This is a crucial decision for the future of the MetaTrace project.

🚗The Future of D2E

D2E has been with us since the early days of MetaTrace, and it will continue to be! We understand that the Drive 2 Earn mechanic is important to many of you, especially those who own NFT Cars.

But we also recognize it needs some improvements.

What does this mean for you?

⚙️ Temporary D2E Reconstruction: Starting with the next update, D2E will be temporarily disabled for upgrades. We plan to complete this work within a few weeks. This time is needed to implement changes, test balance, and ensure smooth functionality.

🚗 What about NFT Cars?

⭐️Your NFT Cars are safe: All your cars will be preserved with their full attributes. After the reconstruction, NFT Cars will continue to play a central role in the D2E mechanic.

🫶Bonus for waiting: As a thank-you for your patience, all NFT Car owners in the game will receive additional rewards after the reconstruction is complete. Details will be shared soon.

🔒Temporary Freeze on Operations: Until the work is finished, depositing and withdrawing NFT Cars will be temporarily paused.

Our team is working hard to bring back D2E as soon as possible and make it even better!

😶‍🌫️ Why are we replacing ACE with TRC?

It seems that creating a model with two tokens was a miscalculation on our part… But where exactly? It turned out to be more complex than we anticipated. The use of ACE failed to meet either your expectations or our own.

👨‍💻 After thorough analysis, we concluded that using a single token in the game would benefit its development, maintain game balance, enhance economic security, and make it clearer for new users.

⭐️As a result, the game becomes easier to play. You’ll use a single token, and we’ll focus on developing a single token.

📊 Additionally, almost half (46.9%) of the total TRC token issuance was allocated for rewards from the very beginning. This means TRC will gain more utility, and its use within the game economy will be more cyclical.

❤️ What will happen to the existing ACE?

We will convert all existing tokens into TRC. We've taken all necessary snapshots for calculations.

The conversion process will begin next week, and all details on the terms will be shared in upcoming posts, so stay tuned.

While we’re preparing the details for the ACE → TRC conversion, you’ve probably noticed that the Airdrop updated yesterday and the first reward season has officially begun!

Here’s what’s changed:

⬆️ All super prizes have increased in size and are now exclusively in TRC.

🤟 The maximum prize is now 50,000 $TRC.

💰 The maximum rewards for regular prizes in TRC and POL have also increased.

⭐️ Gold tickets now drop rare, epic and legendary pets.

🛍 The chance of getting gems from gold tickets has been reduced.

Super prizes now have strict limits:

- 12 Big Prizes
- 6 Mega Prizes
- 4 Epic Prizes
- 2 Super Prizes

This is a hotfix aimed at security improvements, removing ACE from the game, and preparing for the D2E reconstruction.

Here’s what’s new and how it enhances your gameplay experience:

🚗 The D2E mode has been suspended for rework, and we’ll share details on the upcoming changes soon.

⌛ NFT Cars deposits and withdrawals have also been paused to ensure a smooth transition to the updated D2E mode.

🔒 Security protocols within the app have been refined.
❗️Important: To improve the blockchain aspect of the game, all token and NFT transfers are temporarily suspended. This is a necessary step, and all operations will be available again soon.

🗑 ACE has been removed from the following mechanics: battles, construction, speeding up egg hatching, and creating NFT pets.

⚙️ Additionally, we’ve fixed minor bugs and improved optimization.
