"Unhackable for 100 Years": FanC Begins Development of the World's First Post-Quantum Blockchain Wallet

As quantum computers near commercialization, the blockchain security industry is accelerating the adoption of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) technologies. On April 8, blockchain infrastructure company FanC announced that it has acquired PQC technology from the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) and is currently developing a "Double Helix PQC Blockchain" that integrates this technology into its proprietary blockchain structure.

The "Quantum Wallet", being developed by FanC, is designed not just for storing digital assets, but to fundamentally block all hacking attempts by quantum computers. The wallet has completed its prototype phase and is currently undergoing internal testing, with an official launch planned for the second half of this year.

Quantum computers are expected to be able to break existing 256-bit encryption within a decade. As a result, PQC is gaining attention as a core technology that can defend against quantum-based attacks, complementing existing encryption methods. In response to these emerging threats, FanC has proactively partnered with ETRI to incorporate PQC into its systems.

A FanC representative stated, "Our goal is to build a blockchain security system that can last for at least the next 100 years using PQC technology," adding, "Quantum Wallet will become the new standard for next-generation digital financial infrastructure."

FanC is also collaborating with CELEBe, a global content platform focused on K-content. The two companies are exploring how to apply FanC’s PQC technology to content distribution and copyright protection systems. This technology is expected to play a key role in safeguarding creators' rights and ensuring transparent revenue settlement for content.

The blockchain industry is praising FanC’s latest development as the “first real example of preparing for the quantum computing era.” One industry expert commented, “Post-Quantum Cryptography will soon be a key competitive advantage in the global blockchain market. FanC’s strategy captures both technical leadership and trust.”

Amid rising concerns over blockchain security, fueled by repeated hacking incidents involving major exchanges such as Bybit, FanC’s push toward PQC integration is seen as a major turning point that could reshape the market landscape.

FanC emphasized, “Absolute security is more important than speed,” asserting that the Quantum Wallet will be more than a simple tool — it will serve as a digital vault for the quantum era.
