Amid the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict, intelligence agencies have raised a high cyber alert: Avoid any file named โtasksche.exeโ
these are part of a Pakistani cyber attack targeting innocent users. [SOURCE]
What You Need to Know:
This file pretends to be a normal system process. Itโs used in major cyberattacks like WannaCry. if you see tasksche.exe (with an extra โeโ), donโt run it. Itโs a backdoor tool, once run, it can:
โข Give hackers remote access
โข Steal your passwords
โข Install more viruses
โข Lock your files for ransom
โข Just opening it is enough to get hacked or encrypted.
โข it installs itself in hidden folders like %AppData% or %Temp% It may look like a normal file, with real app icons, but it runs silently in the background without your knowledge.
How Theyโre Spreading It:
โข WhatsApp forwards
โข Telegram groups
โข Emails with document attachments
โข Fake social media links
How to Stay Safe:
โข Donโt open unknown files, even if sent by a friend

Apps have to be installed or updated via Google Play to receive full integrity responses. Sideloaded APKs or installs from alternative stores? No go.
