Firefox 的 Android 版本开始支持逾 450 个扩展，涵盖了反跟踪隐私保护、广告拦截器、生产力工具、串流音乐、用户界面个性化等各个方面，允许用户根据需要定制移动浏览器。Android 版 Firefox 此前只支持有限的几个扩展，主要是屏蔽广告的 uBlock Origin。今年 8 月 Mozilla 宣布完成了支持开放扩展生态系统所需的基础设施建设，开始逐渐对 Android 用户开放更多浏览器扩展。

2020 年 8 月 Mozilla 在裁员时砍掉了 Servo 引擎团队的大部分成员。Servo 是用 Rust 语言开发的实验性浏览器引擎项目。Servo 项目之后脱离 Mozilla 成为一个独立项目，由 Linux 基金会托管，旨在为其它项目提供一个嵌入的高性能的、安全的渲染引擎。本周一，Servo 官方博客回顾了 2023 年，称项目的活跃度显著增加：有 53 名贡献者，比去年的 22 人增加了 140%；递交了 1037 pull requests (比去年的 215 增加 382% ) 和 2485 commits (比去年的 523 增加 375%)。个人贡献者对项目的健康度至关重要：在人类递交的 pull requests 中，30% 来自非 Igalia 的开发者，18% 来自非审阅者。Servo 项目现在提供了一个可用的 minibrowser UI，支持离屏渲染，更新了实验性的 WebGPU 支持等。
