Jasbir Singh runs a YouTube channel named 'JaanMahal video' and has over a million subscribers. He was arrested in Rupnagar by the Punjab Police.

Singh was allegedly in contact with an officer of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) named Shakir and had visited the neighbouring country three times. The police have found several Pakistani numbers from his devices.

The Supreme Court cancelled the bail granted to six Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers accused of attacking a Hindu family for supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a USD 800 million bailout package for Pakistan despite India's vehement objections to any form of aid to the neighbouring country over its history of terror financing. The development comes a month after Pakistan secured a $1 billion (around Rs 8,500 crore) package from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
